When I look at this painting. it shows how men in war become emotionless killing machines no different than the tank making its own emotionless stare.

LOL okay...

I don't get Marina Abramovichs "art" either, but that doesn't mean I can't make my own perception of it.

It's not artistic perception. Go to VA clinic and talk to some combat vets for perspective.

All the men in my family (besides me) fought in wars and/or were in the military for America. You dont have to demean me.
Was this painting created from a picture?

Two-thirds of his company has been killed or wounded. He will return to attack this morning. How much can a human being endure?" - Tom Lea

Tom Lea based his painting on a real Marine that fought in the battle of Peleliu.

Okay, but it's still based on his perception, ei, he did not create the painting on a picture that was taken. He used his imagination of the Marines experiences to create the painting. I did not have his context of the painting when I made my perception of what the painting appeared like to me.

He was there. He was an artist and correspondent. He created the painting from real life.

I'm not trying to take anything away from that. I just gave my opinion on what the picture says to me. Again, never had any context. Every artist has their own interpretation of their "art". That doesn't mean the outside perception without context will be the same.

I do happen to think its an amazing peice of work

I know many who have had it, and some neighbors have it at the moment.

Many of them had much more than cold symptoms & some have unfortunately passed away.

I don’t think your post is downplaying it but it comes across that way when I first read it. I’ve reread it a few times now...

Bottom line is if ppl don’t want to take it serious enough for themselves, they could be decent human beings and do what they can to not spread it...

Our company has stayed running the whole time. We are considered essential. My wife work at Budweiser, it is essential too. It is a shame they destroy the economy over this instead of folks who are susceptible just staying home

Worse yet is the fact we have no idea how many actually died of covid. We never will. We do know they list deaths as covid even when it is not.

Your best bet is to stay home and not depend on other people to protect you.

Uhh what does Budweiser do that is essential?

If they’re involved in something other than producing alcohol...then maybe

Sorry but alcohol is not essential and one of the most abused drugs on the planet and ruined 100’s of millions of human lives through mankind
They're casting their bait over there, see?

All business is essential or they wouldn't be in business to begin with.

It reminds of a Twilight Zone episode I saw the other day, where the state deemed people obsolete and would put them to death if they didn't have careers that were needed. It was a good one.

Dont worry, Its all in order to "build back better".
