Not a fan, though I think the autoswitch thing was an excellent idea. Will really help people who just want to fight and find fights.
The perk point bonus though?
The players who will be selecting autoswitch will almost exclusively be the guys have been here for years if not a decade or more and have already gone a long way to perfecting their dogfighting skills. An avalanche of new perk points will encourage them to up uber stuff and become even less killable. They'll have fun; but the newer and less competent guys will be molested even more thoroughly than before and it probably won't be good for the longevity of the game as a whole.
My $.02.
Haven't tried it yet, but very eager to fly this weekend.
Nah, I have 18,000 perks and only fly a perk plane in desperate hoarding situations to break it up, or very rarely just for fun and giggles. I do think too many vets fly high eny super planes which doesn't help a noob at all. A noob getting ganged is dead quickly no matter what they are in. Less people in super planes would actually be better for a noob, even though the noob cannot fly a super plane yet. He would be able to after a month anyway.
Perking more of these late war planes would limit their usage and make the fights more fun, and actually easier for new players because most players would not fly perk planes as much, as we can see from the overall plane stats. It would also bring more meaning to perks. No idea why tanks have 1-10 perk ratings but very late war planes dont...
