The reason I said to look it up is because in general a lot of links I find to inform you of what the CA gun roster is get into things forbidden in bbs rules.

But here’s one:

As I understand it from friends over there, it’s like this: someone in the CA gov (not sure which department) decides what guns meet the CA laws and requirements and then when the company pays fees for testing and submits the tests they apply for approval. After approval that gun in particular is on the roster and legal to be purchased in CA or have it shipped into a dealer and picked up. That’s a nutshell, sure there’s more to it.
They're casting their bait over there, see?

The OP was complaining about the CA gun laws..I just pointed out that there are many reasons to live anywhere else

But I do not expect those that still live and enjoy what it has become to agree

That's a part of it but there is a wrinkle in it as well. I was told that they wrote the law so that for every gun that gets new approval 2 have to be removed from the listing of approved weapons. As a result there are fewer "approved" guns available. Stupidity in govt and a definite infringement.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

A habitually lying drunk probably would not notice much of a difference in anything, other than the emptiness of his bottle.

In 1975 I was working on the Anaheim stadium bridge that crosses the Santa Ana river. I never saw any homeless people near the job site. In 2012 while taking the first exit past Anaheim stadium bridge which I believe is Chapman Ave the river bank was covered with blue tents. It became so bad the people we're unable to safely travel on the bike path. Ultimately the city Anaheim forcibly removed the occupants. Countless syringes and drug paraphernalia was removed but my favorite was there was approximately 2 tons of human feces.

On 9-11 I was working on a gymnasium off of Central downtown LA there might have been 2 or 3 homeless people to be seen. Now  you have to walk in the street   because sidewalks are covered with trash and homeless
On my last vacation while travelling the San Joaquin valley I saw countless people living under or near freeway bridges!
So yes the situation has gotten worse. I have never been homeless but I have slept in a barn till I got my first paycheck! I think the horses were glad to see me go :neener:

From what I understand, another part of it is that to buy ammo you have to own the gun it goes with. If you haven’t registered it because you’ve owned it for decades then you have to register it to be able to buy ammo.

Even then you’re limited on how much ammo your allowed to buy.

While the easiest path is to assume that the homeless are solely to blame for their life condition, I suggest that does little to solve the problem.

And God knows I would hate to question societal norms - might lead to getting called a leftist or an un-American (which is a given).

Are you certain of that? My buddy in Sacramento said they wouldn’t allow him to buy 9mm because the system didn’t show that he owned one.

He wanted 9mm because he was planning on buying one and it’s hard to come by up there apparently.

Yep. Town I grew up in, only had a few crazies 2 decades ago.

Now, you gotta carry to feel safe.

That is all that needs to be said.
