The two in-flight bishops just logged off because it was no fun being rolled by 14 knights. I don't think there were any in-flight rooks at all. Because of tower sitters, the 14-5-3 advantage in knight numbers didn't translate into an advantage the two of us could leverage to at least slow the knights down. Presumably the knights are now rolling an empty-of-enemy map, and, sadly, this matters to me much less than it would have in the past.
Subscribers have complained about tower sitters for seemingly ever and HT has done nothing to address it. I wish I knew why. If ENY had been more representative of the actual number of active players there would have been at least a faint chance of slowing the horde, but it wasn't representative, and it wasn't fun, so RedG and I logged off.
If people were willing to switch sides that would of course help, and the perk point bonus autoswitch idea was a good one, but people will apparently almost always prefer to roll with the horde. Addressing the tower sitter problem is the only way I can think of to make things at least a little better for outnumbered players this time of day.
