You can go to this site

https://keyboardchecker.com/

and test to be sure your key presses are being seen by the computer.

They head postions adjuments are are set to default. I Delted Settings folder.. Started over again.. as suggested.
They are set like they should be.

I just ran Malwear bytes.. found a few things in browers. quaratined them
rebooted. Started AH3

No changes. frustrating it is

I just did a clean install of the Steam version.  PgUp and PgDn moved the pilot head up and down, arrow keys moved it side to side and back and forward.

Have you tried mapping head movement to your analog controls? If that works you can save the head position then remap the controllers.

Just an off the wall question:  Are you using the numeric keypad for arrows and page up/down, or the actual arrow keys to the left of it?

Wiley.

What you describe is exactly what would happen if you were in VR or using TIR.  Head position would just kinda budge but not really move until you pause head tracking. You said you weren't in VR but are you using TIR? Or even have it installed? The game may be trying to use it even tho you don't have it actually stuck on your head. Either way, look in key mapping and find whatever key pauses head tracking. Something tells me it's something like alt+F4 or alt+F5. I'm at work so don't know offhand. Not sure so look it up. Hit whatever that key combo is and see if you can move you head position around after that.

That your head position is budging when you hit the arrow, pgup and pgdn keys tells me at least those keys are right.

edit:  The commands are

Tracker Center =  ctrl+F4
Tracker Off      =  ctrl+F5

Hit ctrl+F5 and try to move head position.

No sire. I have a zoom bottom working. The only problem i have is the head position adjustments. I cant see my dash at all. Dont know what secondary weapon is assigned or anything. I'm thinking i will have to reinstall windows even if i just went back to first saved point after my last install. What a chore

I hate to give advice that I can't tell you how to do, but... If you could post a screen shot of what you see, I'm willing to bet there are some players here who can tell you what needs changing.  I've been working with SIK1 in the training arena, (whole 'nother story) and he coached me on how to change and save my head position in various a/c.  I was skeptical, but I did what he said and, **bang** everything clicked.

But, what he did to show me was send me an email with screenshots of what he wanted me to see while using various combinations on my controller.

I don't know if this helps you, but it's worth a try, if you can post a screenshot and let the 'experts' take a look.

Rule #2 It's all small stuff.
Rule #3 What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.  Except redheads, they just kill you.

Try ctrl+F5 and see if that frees it up.

F9 is the default on/off in tir.

Not sure if he has tir loaded on his machine, but I kind of doubt it.
