Shooting through trees.

Most random thing is game is shrubs and trees act like diodes that let ammo flow in one direction. It really is toejam sometimes.

1.You can shoot through the leaves but not the tree trunks.

2. If there is a leaf in your reticle your turret will not fire. The same thing happens if you are parked in a bush.

Some terrain you can thread the needle and kill another GV even through thick cover.

Other times it’s just a mystery.

I’ve done it enough times to eny tanks and had it done to me enough to just figure it’s possibly somewhat random. Other times just pure luck.
