I would like to call for Calm
« on: September 11, 2001, 12:04:00 PM »
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am sure that you all already know of the tragedy that has unfolded in the world today. There are a lot of people out there in the world and especially in the United States who are very cross and very angry because of what happened today. The 11th of September 2001 will be a day in which will live in all our minds for many years to come.

I would like to call for the leading members of our community to be calm and not jump to conclusions about this. Racism is NOT the answer to this situation. At the moment we don't know who is responsible for this amazingly barbaric attack on the Great Country of America.

We should take this time to reflect and pray for the families of the people who have been lost today. This is a true tragedy.

I am going to follow suit, I will not fly again until the skies of the United States are open again.

This community is multinational and we all come from far and wide. Please let us not have this situation boil over onto the Bulletin Boards and into the arena.

God Help us all.

I think everyone should go online today, but not engage in any conflict. There should be something like a great getogether with the knights, bishops and rooks all together in the skies in respect to the peole who have lost there lives.

This needs to be done in the world today. Come together and rid the world of the evil bastards who ruin the chance of worldwide peace.

Nice thoughts but not realistic.

this is an all out assault on the USA.

Not something to be 'kind' about.

Witch hunt is NOT the appropriate response.. but niether is it time for love and harmony.
Like I said..
idealistic but not realistic.

A response is obviously called for. A non directed response is NOT the wsay to go. Wait for the analysis to be done, the information confirmed, then take out the amazinhunks responsible.

At this time calm is EXACTLY what is called for. We have people who now have to go to work. Let them do it and allow them the resource they need including time.

Once we have a target, THEN fediddleING UNLOAD on it! Until then, keep your powder dry and your eyes open. Don't hurt a friend by accident.

Mav
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

The time for a responce will be when we KNOW who did it, who funded it, who knew about it & did nothing to stop it.

That is NOT what is needed today.

Today we need peace, quiet, reflection.
Time to treat our injured & bury our dead.

If we let these attacks cause us to seal our borders, shut down commerce. Change our way of life then & only then will they have won.

honorable intentions.

I'm still left with horror and indignation.

IMO all Americans should be outraged as well.

This has been an attack like no other attack in history.  This attack is an act of war, period!!  A swift response must be inflicted on all nations that have a reputation for harboring terriost.  If we do not react then the terrioist will continue .

1. US transportation is shut down.
2. Our borders are now closed.
3. The US government is shut down.
4. The economy will be in chaos.

Wouldn't this be a good time for the arabs to attack Isreal?

There is another reply from me, on this, on another thread, but...

Whoever did this, we MUST take a thourough look at his way of thinking.
I think so because if we get to know that, we can recognize it next time.
Well, maybe, i think the shrinks (nothing personal  :) already working on that.

This could have been done by a lot of people.
For example, the incidents in the U.S. whereby young people shooting people in their surroundings. Ex-employees who gun down their ex-collegues.

It's a brain thing more than we can imagine.
Humanity is loosing it's identity and we are so much looking for it.
We are loosing track.

I truly hope this tragedy can teach us all.
Every innocent human who dies is a terrible waste.

Sincerely,

JG5FaBi

.Remember this was an attack, not only on NY or the USA, but a very real attack on the whole freedom loving world.
This fight should be a fight against all terrorists.Race or creed is irrelevent and focusing all this anger and hatred at a single RACE is wrong!.
The organisation that did this, those that support them, those that supply weapons and intellegence and those that harbour them are now with their own acts of barbarism declaring war on us all.It is not a war on the civillians who mostly through no choice of their own must live by and obey those organisations rules.
Like your president has said.We must be patient and focus on those who are BEHIND these evil acts.they cannot hide forever.
