Well guys. I spent another half a day here trying to get the programe to run. Again uninstalled the current version of AHlll, deleted the current Hitech Creations Folder and ran Advanced System Care and CC Cleaner to remove all residual files and registry entries.
I then ran the Antivirus removal tool which showed remnants of McAfee Anti Virus, so had it remove all traces. I then re-ran ASC and CC Cleaner to check nothing was left behind. Also went into the Registry to check there ......
After that, just to be sure there were no system file corruptions I ran sfc /scannow and had no errors.
I then disabled me Virus checkers (Windows Defender and IObit Malware Fighter) and then downloaded a fresh version of the AHlll installation file.
I let it complete loading and said yes when asked if I wanted the program to run..........
Guess what, Splash screen then nothing ! Just as before.
So tried again, same result.
Checked Event viewer and got these messages:-

Interestingly, I also got 2 Warning signs - one for each attempt to run the programme.

Just before I deleted to last install of AHlll I checked to see if there was a stdshape.res file anywhere, but no. So clearly there is some issue preventing the download of the rest of the install. Dows anyone know if there is another way of getting the other files?
Cheers, and thanks for your patience.
