Essentially means in essence. Another synonym would be virtually or centrally. Basically, it means almost. So what Spikes said was "There are some countries that are almost all renewable energy." 99%, and 80% arguably, could be classified as "essentially all renewable." To your point, you are correct. No country is "currently all renewables." It should be stated that no one has claimed that as of yet. This topic brings a great quote from a former president to mind. "I know windmills very much."
It's the destruction of oil before a viable total replacement is available is what's killing usMean ole oil...Eagler
Not sure why both oil and solar/wind can't exist simultaneously One should compliment the other while tech, civilization and its needs evolvesIt's the destruction of oil before a viable total replacement is available is what's killing usMean ole oil...Eagler
So no countries are currently all renewables, got it. Norway, where I'm from, is closest because it has natural water power. That won't work everywhere. Iceland is also blessed with enough geothermal for a small country. Norway always had hydro power, it's not a new green thing. They also have a lot of money because they pump and sell so much oil and gas.
What I've learned over years.... Whenever some says, "no one is sayin blah blah" or "no one is doing blah blah", someone most certainly IS saying or doing blah blah.
I've driven electric vehicles for years...at least 45 if not almost 50 years..Everytime I played 18 holes Eagler
It'll never work because there is too much money going to congress from the fossil fuel industry.
Because the wind and sun are in limited supply there?
