This is sad news.  My best wishes to you and your family.

I very much enjoyed flying with and against Ack-Ack over the years.

Wow!  So sorry to hear this. Lots of 'flight time" with AKAK over the years going back to the Airwarrior days.   Wish I had words to help you deal with the grief I know you are feeling.    :cry

Edited to add this image.  Way back in the Airworrior days I posted this image for the first time.  It was my version of AKAK.  I've posted it often over the years.  One more time.  AKAK in the cockpit of his 38 :)

AKAK had become highly skilled in the P38 and provided many of us with highly intense fights.  I still remember a few encounters with him as an adversary, nearly 2 decades later.  Sorry for your loss.

I have many fond memories of AKAK beginning in Air Warrior through the present.  I'm saddened to hear of his passing and give my sincere condolences to his family.  We referred to one another as Akaki-san and 1i-san from Air Warrior days.  I'll miss you buddy.

I met Jose “AKAk” Osio in person at Awcon98 when he was a Rep for CH products back when it was a family owned business. Being the really nice guy he was …. He saw that I was using a micro$not twisty stick and decided to hook me up with a complete HOTAS with a CH Fighter Stick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals, FOR FREE he just gave them to me saying “You will get better with these”.

I flew with and against Ak-Ak in scenarios and to this very day I have never had a bad word to say about the guy. I may have fought with him a time or two in virtual airplanes in virtual skies but we never had anything bad to say about each other on Vox an Open text Chanel or even the the forums.

AkAk was a fairly private person, his facebook page was hardly ever used, and when it was, it was for family.

Sadly what makes AkAk’s passing especially painful is the fact he was not that old, at 52 years of age.

I will always remember and cherish his memory  :salute
