2080ti 5800x 63fps
« on: March 26, 2023, 08:34:59 AM »
Stick and pedals came in.

So I downloaded the game and on the log in screen it read 60-65 fps at 1440.

Last week I started getting random shut downs when I would open a different game after a few minutes.

I went into Bios and did the E Z tune. It stopped my shut downs and runs that game fine over 144 fps (Hunt Showdown). What I did notice was a performance hit and my core clocks are all stuck at 4223. Temps are good.

I have Trident Royal Z 16x2 18 CL 4000mhz in the proper channels. It was not on my motherboards list, which I did not see until after I ordered the ram. Figured I would return it if it did not work. It did work with a few reboots at the start with Docp on and memory set to 3800. This lasted until last week, now we are on E Z tune.

 Something is wrong.

You can ignore the fps indicated at the login screen.

I *think* memory problems would result in crashes, rather than poor performance in AH.

User benchmark might be helpful.  IIRC it checks all aspects of your system and compares them to norms and the results from everybody else who's run the benchmark.

What are your graphics settings in AH?  You should be able to run with everything set to high - except the Environment slider - I leave that at 1.

According to what I've heard from other players who play more than just one game, some games seem to leave all kinds of clutter behind. If you play other games or use your computer a long time before starting AH, a reboot is recommendable - even more so if you also let your PC go to sleep mode. It only takes a minute and you'll have a clean start for each game.

Another thing that caught my eye is the AIO cooler: Not too long ago a customer had issues with his computer freezing and shutting down especially when gaming. A stress test raised the CPU temperatures pretty high so we swapped the AIO to a Noctua air cooler. When inspecting the AIO it seems that it's only half full, you can hear the liquid running in the pipes when turning.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Sorry, figured it out partially. Created a account and in game fps shot up to 331. Apparently the log in screen maxes out around 63 for my system

If you are showing fps 331 you need to make sure vsync is on in the video settings screen. You should show close to your monitor refresh rate setting.
