I ran a google image search for it and found several captions claiming that it was a Bf 109E-7, W.Nr. 4091, flown by Hans-Joachim Marseille while he was in 1.(J)/LG 2. Crash landed at Calais-Marck, France on September 28, 1940.
But I do have some doubts, though.
First, the E-7 model just entering service at about this time and this plane does not have the solid capped prop spinner seen on the late E-4's and E-7's. So it seems more like a regular E-4 to me.
Second, LG 2 is known for painting their Staffel emblems on the rear fuselage. Other photos of this plane show no emblem aft of the fuselage cross. So there are no direct ties to LG 2 seen in the photos. But there are no markings to contradict the claim either.
Third, photos of this plane are found in the Jg 51 section of the Asisbiz website, not in the LG 2 section. Although, this isn't evidence of anything as that site is rife with errors in photo captions. But it is where I did find the other photos of this plane.
Nothing directly contradicts the assertion that it's Marseille's E-7, but if I wanted to skin an Emil from 1.(J)/LG 2, I wouldn't choose this plane.
