This Me 410 flew with II./ZG 76 from Wertheim in Southern Germany in 1944. This group was tasked with USAAF bomber formations but suffered heavy losses to enemy gunners and long range fighters. The 410 was disliked by its crews as it was not as maneuverable, as tough or as easy to bail out of as the 110 it was supposed to replace.
