Aces High Discord!

And so it begins. I have gotten the "OK" from Hitech to start an "Aces High" discord channel. At this point it is a bit bare, but I hope to stay on top of it. I have the voice chats off for now but if it is needed I could add some channels down the road.

The Youtube channel is set to update when ever a new video is posted by anyone of the 5 channels I have setup for now. If those on the list stop adding videos I'll switch them out for someone who does post new videos.

I have some "Event" channels that I will try to keep up with as things are posted on the BBS.

The point here, like the YouTube channels is to spread the word about Aces High. So helps us out.

If you run into an issue there is a "channel issue" text on the page, or you could leave me a note here and I'll do what I can. This is a first shot at a Discord server so Im open to suggestion/help in setup or pushing the channel.

Does it in some way interact with the game?

I have seen some Discord channels overlay games. Is this is what permission is about ?

Again my question is benign as I am not sure what is involved as Discord as I understand it runs as seperate as did team speak which we used back in the day alongside range and squad.

The whole server is setup as "Aces High". I asked permission so I could use logos, the name and so on. If Hitech had said he didnt want one associated with the game then it would have been something else. I have set it up to promote the game, so I thought having the OK from the owner couldnt hurt.

My discord stopped working some time a go. when I try to open it, just crashes. Uninstalled/reinstalled....same thing. Have not been on there in a long time now.

Thats odd.  Did you un-install using the windows app?

If you cant get on thats ok. Im hoping to get more reach with it as younger players use Discord over a BBS. The more connections I can get the more people see the game, which I hope turns into new players.

Maks sure it has its own 200 channel with borderline nsfw privilagss otherwise it will lack flavor

The dirty photos and real hate garbage cant be allowed. Has to be kept in character to what we have in the game. For example, politics isnt allowwd but people still talk about it

My views increased a lot after adding “combat sim” to my YT title
Most don’t search for AH they search for sims. I found it covers both bases, with results.

From what I've seen most people will migrate to the discord server when it comes online and the forums end up with crickets.
