Guess this stuck with me thru the years
« on: May 31, 2025, 09:40:57 PM »
Like the title said - I guess this stuck with me thru the years and drives a lot of what I push back against in-game, whether it's an all-in swarm, a double teaming, or even being the 3rd, 4th and 5th ones in on a 1 v 2 in progress. <all bold are my added emphasis - here we are.>

Working together is not penalized. We are not trying to implement a system where consentrating your forces is hampered.

But it realy is a basic game concepts that all sides have the same number of players. If you don't belive that concept, please sight one case where a game is not designed with that in mind. And please do not tell me AH is war, because it is not, it is a War game. And games are ment to be fun and fair. While war is not ment to be either fair or fun.

With equal sides, doing what it takes to win , is what game play is. In AH there are multiple levels of winning, makeing a capture, just shooting down more people than shot you down, ending the war. All are items of game play in AH.

Having more on your team gives your side an unfair advantage to all other sides. All items of game play are effected by that imbalance. And there realy is nothing that the sides with less numbers can do about it. They can not swith countries to even the numbers, if they move to the country with more numbers it just makes everything worse. They could make a treaty, but that only works in a defensive mode.

Equal sides is such a basic consept that over the life of AH the sides have maintained a fairly equal number, the resone is realy simple, people have more fun when the sides are equal.

So now the question becomes not IF the sides should be equal, but how to accomplish that equality with least impact to the social apspect of the game.

Auto-switch is the current valid option I can use to try to balance the game, but have a "dark" side since sometimes I fight with members of my Squad ( even on the Checkertails we are really open and friendly on these situations and take like fun & learning ). Don't know the solution... and agree with Shane that games are supposed to be fun and fair...  :salute

Are you re-subscribing, or just here trying to earn your demerit badge?

The final blow to this game is when you make the remaining squads break up all in the spirit of equality and fairness...

Take this woke DEI BS and throw it in the trash

"Ever wonder why its always b-17s and B-24s? It allows him an extreme advantage over other players hence his bomber kill count, that and his lazer beam guns"Diaster

In my opinion, uneven numbers can be fun, on either side. Sometimes its worse on stacked side because you can't get any kills.
But I do know that weekdays seem to be the horde times, and I'm usually not playing then.

Sides have been somewhat equal lately. I may not jeopardize my place in a sqd, over it. Players flying solo it is easier.

What happens when some switch sides? Ya make friends. It puts a face on someone. Its not a negative result.

Every single thing that happens is not a last blow.

Nothing is bat crap crazy here, just people trying to help others enjoy the game and seeking solutions and contribute to the cause. A for effort.

Its going into summer, expect lower numbers.
