Factoid of the Day

WW2 is closer to the Civil War than we are to WW2.   :old:
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

Not true.  I'm sitting here in Fulton, Missouri.  I'm less than 30 miles from Centralia, MO where there was a Civil War battle fought.  That s way closer than Europe, North Africa or Asia and even US territories of Hawaii and Alaska.

Nobody south of the Carolina’s think the Civil War ended yet.
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

No, it's so incredibly sad that it becomes a joke.

Time flies when you are having fun...

All the wars inbetween have taught us nothing..many more on the horizon to keep that military complex going and our dollar relevant...

As far as civil war goes if there is a round 2, I don't want to be around for it..as there will be no winners..

My mind was blown when I realized more time had passed between the building of the Pyramids and the birth of Jesus than Jesus until present. There's something up with those Pyramids man.

That is very crazy actually. Time is such an interesting thing. And we have this mentality that there was never any "technology" before us. We also have this idea that somehow population just drastically increased between 1800-2000s, but never during all of that time before? How would such small populations build such extravagant and extraordinary things, huge beautiful buildings all over the world supposedly built by 24 year old architects in 2 years that we arent capable of today... ohh the things they are hiding.   :old:

If anything wars have told us. Its how to destroy your strongest men in order to make society and the next generation weaker and easier to manipulate. Alas, I do think the revolutionary war and civil war were major historical changes for human kind to break us out of slavery and control, and into a new world of individual ownership and prosperity which was very important for man kind.

Time is such an interesting thing.

So very true! It wasn't long ago that someone asked about upgrading to Windows10 rather later than sooner. Actually I stopped upgrading from 7/8 to 10 only 1½ years ago when the old activating keys stopped working. And people keep asking why they should constantly update and upgrade their systems. Heck, a decade is such a short time in an older person's life! That said, decades have become shorter lately...
