An Unique Observation in Fast Food Hospitality
« on: Today at 06:36:52 PM »
Many here don't know my current situation except the AK's.  Back on June 6th, I underwent an amputation on my right foot and ankle due to complications from Type 2 Diabetes.  Been in a wheelchair since.

Next door neighbor is selling his late mother's house and was giving away items he can't sell.  Specifically, a battery-operated mobility scooter and a walker with wheels and handbrakes.  I get my prosthetic foot and ankle around first week of September.

With the scooter, I can leave the house.

I have been to McDonalds and KFC.  They have brought me my tray of food, refilled my drink (KFC) and even open the door for me (KFC).  Taco Bell only brought me a refill and it took several minutes.  Everyone is super friendly when they see an amputee.

I do enjoy watching small children stare at my missing foot.  Lack of tact.  Bless their little hearts.

It's a shame.  You lose body parts and be placed in a chair to get better service and friendliness.

Dang that’s rough. Hope you’re doing well!
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

A buddy of mine got his leg blown off from the knee down in a gun fight. He was in the Demo Derby and his leg fell off in the car. He got pissed and started beating the car with it. The whole fair busted out laughing. He drank free the rest of the night.  :rofl
Lighten up Francis
