Cat7 vs SAAB. A history
« on: Yesterday at 07:38:32 PM »
Cat7 had 90% of the time been ready and willing to kill my buffs when I emerged from NOE to make a suicide run on strats with a K4. Okay, fine, maybe he lurks in tower for this sort of thing. I assumed it was simply that.

But.

A Rook (don't know who) changed his nick to something like "Cat7Chts!" and Cat7 disappeared for a couple of days.

And now a "new" guy, same style except spit14 vs 109K4, with a lot of stars, suddenly emerges?

Would love to know why the cat7cheats guy said what he said. The change of name and plane strongly suggests that the cheats guy was right/cat trying same cheat with similar plane and new name (SAAB).

Opinions?

CatD regularly cancels my buffs in a 109. He is really good at management and angles. He is a tough out especially in a Lancaster.
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

Interesting. I saw that cat7chts handle the other day and thought that was strange. Then I see Cat7 hasn't played in 2 weeks which mid month I think is when accounts expire. Whats really interesting is that Cat7 and SAAB almost have identical scoring metrics which indicates similar styles of performance. Further, they both excel in the ki84 and have similar statistical patterns in plane K/D, and love the wirblewind. From the kills this month they both love shooting bombers, specifically Lancs, that's a lot of Lanc kills. Its also just a coincidence but both are right next to each other ln overall rank and fighter rank. Just based on looking at this month (would need more prior month confirmations) I'd say there an actual possibility of them being the same person.  :t

Obvious name change,  but I have never thought of him to be cheating.  In my experience he is just extremely timid and only engages if he has near zero chance of dieing.  Everytime I've been able to force a fight he just isn't good enough to put up an entertaining battle. It's hard to say he uses a shade because I haven't seen any obvious names on the team that would belong to him, he could just be a good tower queen that is good at reading the map.  I love when I get to kill him because I always find him when im going up against impossible odds.

The only real “cheating” in question would be shade cheating—and yes, it’s still alive and well. Tower-sitting with the intent to drive up ENY is also still alive and well.

In the court of public opinion, the burden of proof falls on the accuser. Before 2020, the developer strictly enforced rules against making public accusations of cheating. Since then, the stance has shifted: the official response to ENY issues has been, “switch sides to balance it.”

Running multiple accounts is not bannable. Using them to shade or stack is only addressed at the developer’s discretion—and he’s been open about having minimal involvement with the game in recent years due to burnout and personal reasons. Enforcing it would mean shutting down accounts, and that directly cuts into revenue. That’s not good for business.

predátel'stvo  :salute

My advice? Get good. Shoot down the shade cheaters. Don’t stack countries to inflate ENY.

Some make this game such a priority you have to wonder what life outside of it they really have..

For some, the game is there life, and IMO thats ok. Keeps me outta bars lol.

I just want everyone here to know,… I’m very concerned with this issue.

Seriously, As spoken here many times, multi accounts is ok as ling as inly used on one side, NOT in mire than one country at a time. IF (prove it) they are ysing in two countries at a time now you have a concern.

I've had similar experiences.  I never believed him to be cheating, just very map aware.  He was always on the hunt for bombers.

I seem to remember a player named SAAB back in the day... I could be making this up.  Anyone else?

I had a few run ins with saab last night.  My best guess is he is not cat7.  As others have posted cat7 choses low probability of death missions.

Speaking of Saabs, they use to have a small, 2 cycle, 3 cylinder engine car back in the 60s.  It had 4 speed on the column and front wheel drive.  Good gas mileage as you would suspect.  Neighbor across the street had one.

Im not so sure Randy, Saab still only has 6 deaths as an attacker this tour. Also, Saab hasn't played in a while, no history this year. But Cat7 plays around 80-140 hours a month, which is a lot. If you look at Saabs time + cat7s time, they total about 140 hours. So that's another indication. There is a probability here, but cant confirm 100% without real billing proof. It is interesting though that Cat7 has disappeared.

If SAAB only defends against bombers and bombs GVs with a KI84, he’s cat7. Oh, if he also waits with an M3 and then attempts to run away for a green end sortie after realizing the base capture is dead, then it’s cat7

Does it suck to try and chase his k4 down as he flees to his base? Yes. At the end of the day is it really an issue? I don’t think so. There are plenty of people in this game who take more stake in defending bases/strats rather than attacking, such as frosti, and that’s ok. The knights are very good at coordinating attacks along with having dedicated defenders
