97 Squadron Lancaster
« on: September 23, 2025, 02:53:29 AM »
Thank you to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

This Lancaster flew with 97 Squadron. They were the second RAF squadron to receive the Lancaster and later became an elite pathfinder unit, whose job it was to find and mark the target for the rest of the bomber stream. In 1945 as Bomber Command began flying more daytime missions  some squadrons began marking aircraft to make formations easier to assemble. In this case the aircraft's squadron code was repeated on the upper tail surfaces.
