Reloading M1 Garand
« on: September 24, 2025, 10:34:25 PM »
Everything I have seen on M1 there is no partial reload , Is that correct? Video of todays shooting in Texas showed a stripper clip is that how the ammo was shipped? You had to take ammo from stripper clip and load eight rounds into weapon?
I know you could do partial reloads with M14.

I've bought ammo that was already in stripper clips and I have stripper clips that I've loaded ammo into myself so you can get them both ways.

The M1 uses an en bloc clip that actually goes into the magazine. If you were going to reload it you would pop out the clip and put a full one in. Otherwise you'd be fighting the bolt and the spring to try to shove rounds in one at a time. It's not like a Mosin Nagant or a K98 where you can shove 2 or 3 rounds off the stripper clip into the magazine.

Here's a video showing the en bloc clip: It's at 2:57. Couldn't figure out how to get it to start there.

That picture of the dead body’s gun was a mauser.

I use the same clip on mine.

Odd how scribbles on rounds is all the rage these days...

Talking about an easy way to sway an investigation..
