Smörgåsbord.
The Swedish word consist of three parts: Smör=butter, gås=goose and bord=board/table. Smörgås means bread and butter, or more widely understood a sandwich. Originally it meant just a lump of soft butter small enough to cover a slice of bread. Those small lumps resembled tiny geese. And soon enough the nickname covered both the butter and bread. But on a smörgåsbord there's rarely neither available or at least they're playing a very small side role.
