Sorry, but some here are avoiding basic math at all cost to make a erroneous point.

Yet you'll trust a doctor and science to save your life.

<shrug> the no climate change concept is a lost cause to even debate. No matter the proof supplied they work around the reality.

I wouldn't even waste my time debating this with those white knuckle death grip on fact-less conspiracies. Especially some clown on YT who cannot be verified and if he could be it would be on TV not YT. YT is a cesspool of stupid.

The only time they feel right is when the challenge to their conspiracies are blocked. Otherwise,.... I'd listen more to witches around a campfire with rotting goat heads and candles first.

It's hard to take serious disgruntled, attention-seeking delicate narcissist who view themselves as Nostradamuses of gaming when, in their so-called "grand wisdom," predicted the game would be dead within a year—every year for the past 10-15 years!

They have to make climate change before more folks realize the scam. No heating, no loss of ice....  :rofl

Ya, those ice caps melting away, which keeps the jet stream cooler, is just an illusion.

Some people will believe a myth over facts beating them right in the face. It's not the scientist I question on sanity.

Sad to see fields of solar panels installed so low you can't even mow under them..

I just can't see them as an alternative..maybe an emergency backup but not as 1st string ..

No windmills thank goodness..

And every year our power bill goes up for one reason or another..everything except more usage..same with water..

My guess is that the political message in Landman is accurate as the green group didn't argue against it when it aired originally..

Ever seen what toxic crap comes from those panels when they die?

Ever seen what happens to them in a tornado or a hail storm?

The green crowd loves wind power. They just don't know that those wind generators can each require up to 2000 gallons of oil to operate. Each and every one of them.

They require a lot of oil. Which really cannot be fully recycled.

The life of the power producing generator is relatively short, and it cannot generate power on its own, it has to be energized.

The blades have a very finite life, and they can't be truly recycled, they take up a massive amount of space when discarded.

They operate poorly, or not at all, in extreme weather. They ice like an aircraft, and have to be de-iced with helicopters and massive amounts of de-icing fluid.

No but I am sure we are going to see alot of it going forward..

As China,  Russia and India do not get a crap about green anything but money, they will win out the AI race as they will prioritize it over everything and everyone..

I'm not opposed to technology. i just neither need nor want all that is available.

I think it is hilarious, all these people in love with AI, thinking it will do their job for them. And when it does, being surprised they don't have a job.

Very little I do is subject to AI. Maybe it could do something with my spread sheets and databases. It can't enter data from manual testing. It can't install parts or perform the tests.

There's a lot of stuff I could do to make a living that AI isn't going to be able to do.

I just like to watch people welcoming their AI overlords.

If AI knows everything how come it couldn't tell the AI folks that they don't have the power grid needed to power itself..

That is as intelligent as someone in 1910 saying, "How are all the new fangled automobiles supposed to work?  There is no where to get gas and we have very few paved roads.  This can never work!!!"

If something promises sufficient value, the infrastructure will be built.

Some of the new nuke plant designs are very safe if you don't do something stupid like place them in an earthquake or Tsunami zone.

Quote
here isn’t a single universally agreed “best” design, but right now the top tier for real, buildable plants are Generation III+ light-water reactors with strong passive safety, especially:

Westinghouse AP1000 (and its smaller AP300 variant)

Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) like GE Hitachi’s BWRX-300, NuScale’s SMR, and Holtec’s SMR-160

…and then there’s a second category of Gen IV designs (molten salt, high-temperature gas-cooled, etc.) that might be even safer in principle, but aren’t yet proven at large commercial scale.

But the infrastructure takes time to build out...a nuke plant is 10 years out if it goes smoothly and you can guarantee that won't happen in the US with ppl gluing themselves to street asphalt in protest..

Chyna won't have that issue..

I see a big fat war tossed in there somewhere/sometime to balance the race out...

Nope.

National Security fast-track.

Put the nuke plants on gov property in NV, AZ, etc.  No debate.  6 months easy.  Lease the power to to the Data Centers.

China knows what's coming.  And preparing for embargoes when they invade Taiwan in 2027.

China has installed over 1,100 gigawatts (GW) of solar capacity, exceeding 1 TW, with a significant portion added in 2024 and the first half of 2025. In 2024 alone, China added 277 GW of solar, and by mid-2025, its total solar PV capacity surpassed 1,100 GW, which is approximately half of the world's total installed solar capacity.

Just saying it's much easier in China than here where our political winds change every 2 to 4 years..

Half the country wants to be communist espically the young, dumb and lazy and would rather save the planet from climate change than the Chinese..
