If there were truly cost effective and efficient methods of producing electricity with solar or wind, there'd be people doing it and making money. In fact, if there were methods on the horizon, there'd be people investing more in R&D. The only reason anyone is even fooling with it right now is the subsidies and tax breaks. As far as it goes, as I stated up thread, the "by products" are extremely unfriendly to the environment, and there's no cost effective way to deal with them. Hell, they can't really do anything with EV batteries, they just have silly ways of trying to keep them "in use', once their extremely short and expensive life as a vehicle power source is over.

These ideas about "big oil" stopping wind and solar are like the conspiracy theories about "big oil" buying up "100 MPG carburetors", etc. Total crap.

Biggest threat to earth is humans. A very wasteful evasive species. Not only are we our own worst enemy, we are a threat to every living thing on the planet. I’m with native Americans, only take what you need.

That said, the sun projects enough energy towards earth in 90 minutes to power the entire planet for 1 year.

Like volcanos gases and ash killed a lot of wildlife, eventually burning oil will do the same, just slower.

It would be rare for anyone from TX to admit it’$ a problem. Taking biased hear-say over experienced scientist who save your life is our demise. Its the greed of oil mongers who threaten us all. Money over facts.

Of course, running your car in a closed garage with a human in it thinking nothing can go wrong is called Darwinism.

It’s now politics and money over planet.

Its greed alright.

What about vibrations, frequencies? Ether? Nikola Tesla's findings? There's brain power out there to figure out true free energy for all...not just select few. We need to remember the joy of just living again. Planting a few trees and trying to raise them is a humbling experience ce.

I’m not reading the whole thread
Who is they?

No, people like Bill Gates has not turned his back on climate change, but he has shifted his public stance to advocate for a new focus on a different approach. He argues the "doomsday outlook" is inaccurate and that, while climate change is still a serious problem, the global strategy should pivot from a singular focus on temperature targets to improving human welfare and alleviating poverty, particularly in developing countries. This shift emphasizes innovation and adaptation as solutions, alongside ongoing efforts to reduce emissions.

Watching 600,000 die (400k children) in one year because USDA was closed, this admin even burned 500 tons of food to stop it going where they decided it should not go is what changed “their” focus.

In TX, the very people who rallied against green energy actually installed green energy, like wind mills, to fix their electrical grid problems.

Big oil and coal will never admit that anything they can’t profit from as better and cleaner. At least BP was actually smart enough to jump the bandwagon of green energy profits, preparing to shift focus. Do as I say, not as I do.

Solar and wind farms are ugly, but I view them as temporary until a real solution is found.

Cutting too many trees that clean the air while polluting it more sets the cycle in one direction, over. Its not a tree hugger thing.

This saving face gotcha subjects are time wasters instead of solutions.

The people dying from poverty aren’t even the ones causing the problem.
Idiot in chief battles climate change to recharge profits to his rich buddies who donated to the campaign to stop other solutions they don’t profit from. Thats a promise he made to them. They would let the planet burn as long as they die rich.

Its truly profit through sick political distractions over the planet.

The greedy are ok with the elderly, sick and poor dying, it frees up more money for them. The billions that supported USDA just went to their own pockets through funneled tax cuts. They are ok with you dying as long as the funds to save you go to their pockets. Genocide for profit.

So yes, focus changed to spare the suffering. They will die before we find a solution to climate change.

The one track train greedy will get us all dead.

Can you imagine how greedy big oil will lose their minds if perpetual motion was discovered? ME oil mongers would soon eat dirt as thats their whole income. Same with states like TX. They are not going to agree on a solution that cuts them out.

They don’t even care about what their oil spills do to land and water as long as they profit more.

Thats what is truly F’ed up. They do not want a solution. They lobby against it.

When people stopped driving and flying to stay home during the pandemic, I saw the clearest blue skies I ever saw. That speaks volumes to the problem.

Gotcha solves nothing, and thats where they prefer you stay.

Big oil and coal are vexations. They need us to hate green energy. Shinny hook bitten.

They think Humanity is a disease and want us to all live in TeePees and sing Kumbaya together while importing more of the third world to trash the streets and environment while infiltrating positions of power and stealing tax payer dollars through social programs to send back to their home countries while not having to work... then their "leaders" go and cut down rainforest to build UN conferences designed to figure out how to steal more tax payer dollars and then it burns to the ground. Its just unbelievable to think these people have a freaking clue as to what they are talking about, much less steal our tax dollars and use it fraudulently for their own sake.

Pretty much. They never consider themselves part of the disease though. Just the "little people", and those who disagree with them.
