Not sure I’ve spent much time in the G2 I will give it a spin.
Back in 2022 after a loooooong break from 2010. Old name Ratpack, same for the BBS.

Squad I did the most tours with were the Excaliburs then The 172nd Rabid Dogs. Still trying to talk Illigaf, Coola, Oldman22, and Joecrow into coming back instead of being boring old farts!

No I would take it with a whole lot of salt. I would expect some elaboration with such a countering claim. This is regarding AH and not real life results or characteristics. There's a reason why the G6 usually has one of the lower overall K/Ds of the 109s month over month.

I'm glad we agree that you would take your post with salt.
And, if that stat is true it's more to do with the pilots misunderstanding of the G6 than anything else, you can ignore my information Vio, even contest it but I believe anyone interested in 109 dweebery in the G6 should take note;

     Due to the engine torque to weight ratio being in a sweet spot, it's the easiest 109 in AH to get the tail moving without being too unstable to control, so much so you can 'barrel roll tail whip' into flying sideways to defend and force overshoots, with a superb amount of rudder authority to get it pointed in the right direction post-maneuver, (One Last High - 2minutes32 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PxcaZa9yug).
     You can use the torque mixed with the rudder authority to cut corners over the top of the loop essentially drifting the aircraft up and over, also being able to pull the nose into positions other 109s and other aircraft cannot match, (Both seen in sequence, Strebenstein -13sec-45sec also 1min08 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IR8oCi18CM)

     It's the fastest WEP climbing 109 between around 2-6k giving it a advantage to exploit in the deck fight, because of how quickly it can replenish potential E in those deck fights.
     Examples here;

(Pure fighter defense)

(Buff hunting intended, Gondolas on)

     It also can "hit the brakes" better than any other 109, being heavier and here with Gondolas on;

(Adrenaline language warning, and please excuse the shooting)

     I need to point out that I do not recommend Gondolas on a 109 other than the G2 unless you spend every flying hour in 109s; The G2 being light and under-armed. 2x13mm and a 20mm are adequate (convergence set 350), the Gondolas affect every aspect of handling enough to make you near easy prey for other fighters, (see wingman's under-experienced defenses with Gondolas in previous film). Unless the mission is purely buff hunting or you have an abundance of competent wingmen ie. FSO or Scenario, leave them behind.

I appreciate the write up and response. Yes, with Salt, not a grain, mostly because I feel your write up is for very advanced folks who understand the nuances of a 109, but a person whose new to a 109 isnt going to realize any rudder difference since most dont perform ACM well to begin with. Your post is more aligned with 1v1 situations where a slight rudder advantage may help in a very close fight, but overall wont make a large difference for folks just learning the 109s. While you say it may be a bit faster between 2-6k. Its not going to make a large difference for a new 109 guy since any thing that can catch a G14 will catch a G6. IMO, using gondies is crucial, especially if you are a bad aimer, 1 20mm will get you picked chasing. If you are only going to use 1 20mm, just better off using the 109F. In a 1v1 fight, sure the gondies make a difference in weight. In the MA, IMO, its much better for a player to have more fire spray n pray firepower  with 20s than only 1 20 they cant aim and get picked chasing. For what its worth, if someone doesnt want to learn reversals and defense ACM than they should just stick to 190s because the 109s are of the best counter punchers in the game for overshoot crossing shots.

I have not even been flying. Can't seem to find the time. Just a matter of unplugging I guess.

I read back through this and realized I buried the lead… I am flying these planes because I am trying to learn high ENY rides when those times arise given that our numbers are lower these days. Yes Animl… I know we will have triple digits for a few months, but then we won’t again and at the rate we’re losing veterans I’m realistic. I still love ya’ll. :cheers:

Hombre hit me harder than others. Just make sure everyone remembers you just never know everyone’s story fully.  :salute

Anyway, for whatever reason sometimes our Rooks have big-time numbers, usually Tuesday and Wednesday. But for whatever reason Thursday is the lowest night of the week, no matter the time of year. Lusche can abide but I know it anecdotally to be true and I still can’t figure out why Thursdays all year long are the lowest.

What exactly you are all doing and why am I not invited? :old:

These were the first two planes I have been fiddling with more than others that can travel a few miles while I go take a piss. I would be happy to hear your other recommendations for high ENY planes that still pack a punch for someone like me who floats like a butterfly but shoots like mr. Magoo.  :joystick:

Numbers, meh, all games dump in summer, all games pick up in winter. I see most numbers drop during undue drama events. Like 3-6 mos of YKW & V diaper fest, we lost 20-30 in 2 weeks while they piled on me. Right now certain subjects like politics HERE and 200 is a turn-off to MANY. And the same paying players who complain about numbers the most do it the most. Irony. Dense is a new art.

When I returned average MA count was what it is right now, 95-112 (Dec. 2022). We still have those steady numbers, yet there is also a revolving door. We/YOU got that up to 160-200. Its a shame what was brought in was chased off by the above and that it was ALLOWED to continue until there was no other choice and got legal. TX wrecking Crew. When that was allowed, it burst my bubble a bit to watch work and time wasted away. I'm convinced someone doesn't want number expansion, everything allowed goes against all our efforts. Never saw such a apathy. I can see why numbers are lower than they should be. These guys could ruin Candy Crush, which is where they prolly belong.

Acid Bath change of subjects.
I fought you in several AC, you looked most comfortable in the A5 (or 190s). You found the envelope. You pulled some turns in the A5 I couldn't keep up with in the D9. The only reason I got you in the A5 is when it's time to extend, which is where my speed kicks in. Never had a bad fight with ya.

47s are kind of an art, if you don't fly it non-stop. I don't think that's your ride. The only 47s that beat me (not counting HOs)  is when I'm bounced or its a 47 jocky. I see a lot who don't know it well and they usually don't land. Same with 38s, if one doesn't learn flaps at the right time, it won't do well.
