If you need a volunteer
« on: Yesterday at 07:47:32 AM »
<S> Given that this series of FSO is done and there is one frame left.

In the interest of balance and picking up the pace a little, if you need a squad to switch we can do it.
I get really really tired of selective realism disguised as a desire to make bombers easier to kill.

Dantoo,

Way to step up.

I'm not part of the CM team nor wish to be.  But I can't stop myself from suggesting that squads be reassigned frame by frame.  Is that a bad thing?

It's not a bad thing.  It's a reluctant, necessary thing.

There is a slight issue with squad members not showing up and or staying during Hour 2.  It comes down to three things.  ICE.

Integrity
Commitment
Empathy

It's easy for players to point out problems when they have never participated in the design, playability, and execution of a special event.  That takes time and effort, plus creativity to achieve an event for many to enjoy.

There are players who only want the best rides to achieve easy victories.  Challenge isn't a vocabulary word.

The vast majority of FSO players are here for the good and bad times.  There will always be issues with a setup from individual players based on their perspective.  You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time.

Only each player can answer these questions.  Do I believe in FSO?  Do I support FSO?  Do I value the volunteer CM's?  Do I understand they are human and can't be perfect every time?

Aside from RL issues like family, work, and school, can I stay the entire 2 hours of FSO and do the best I can?

Just my 2 pennies on this matter.
