First of all, how are they corrupting your children? Are their 'gay germs' going to rub off and infect your children with this 'sickness' you speak of?

Secondly, how are they interfering with your rights? Were the freedom riders interfering with your rights during the civil rights movement too?

Did you ever think that maybe the reason they resort to large demonstrations is because of the hatred and violence they meet at the hands of people (and no, not Grunherz's parents

) who are scared of them simply because they aren't straight white males?

People forget that there was a scientist here sometime ago that had research to prove homosexuality was a gene defect. His research was found to be altered and he was discredited. There is NO proof that homosexuality is ANYTHING other than a product of enviroment.

Really, my point is made in response to the earlier remark regarding homosexual studies for public education. Sorry, no can do. I would be just as offended if I were asked to teach white power, black power, or any other fringe group. You are perfectly capable of practicing your activities without the support of public education. Heck, if I can't even mention the word "God" in my class, I'll be damned if I am going to discuss the safe way to place your noodle in the appropriate orifice.

Yup, homosexuality is a reality in our society we must accept. Making it mainstream behavior I feel is wrong, and is my right to protest until such rights are legislated away. Until then I continue to "overcompensate". Thank God we have enlightened people such as yourself to show how ignorant I really am.

So mighty1, if i don't like Black people ( just giving example here ) because their evil "culture" of rap and other associated crap is "corrupting our children", should we round them all up and "cure" them, or better yet, should i be "protected" from them ? Just one thing that hit me....

Parents, or atleast society, is trying to get violence removed from TV and other such stuff because they believe it influences children into doing horrible things.....

but they gots no problems with airing turd burglars on TV for these very same children to see?

Whassa matter? Violence influences our kids but watching some guy slip another guy a weenie dog into the chili bowl won't influence them?

Double standards, hypocritical and simply retarded.

Just seems to me like it's either accept it or they'll make us accept it.

My problem is with the militant gay agenda in S. Florida. This is a hard core political agenda that "GLSEN" (Glisten) is trying very hard to get into the liberal schools down here. I'll fight this with every resource I can muster. And I don't think anybody can say I'm homophobic.

Gays down here call us heteros "breeders". What right do the gays, who are largely without children, have to put this disgusting matierial into our schools? Kids don't need to see this.
By the way, I know a gay person or two who disagree with it also.

Tell me something, because to be honest the only way I find about America is to talk to Americans; is your educational service so afraid that the above statement is true? Do American schools genuinely neglect sex education and leave it up to the little buggers them selves to form ideas of appropriate sexuel mores, morals, values and practises from each other and from dubious, untrustworthy sources?

What's your teen birth rate like over there? The teen HIV stats?

Help me identify where the 'gayness' came from in this story:
A kid grows up in Wyoming. His dad works in agriculture, is homophobic, and works with the local 4H chapter. The kid grows up, he raises cows in 4H, he learns about cattle ranching and agriculture, he's on the wrestling team. Somehow he turns out gay. Was it the wrestling that did it? Too much time with the cows? It seems that his environment was the perfect one to create a straight, white male.

Is there some kind of hidden gay agenda where gay people say that they just are the way they are, and that they had no choice in the matter, and really, they just decided it would be great fun to be part of a universally hated group, targeted for violence, shunned by their friends and families?

Seeker why is it that Gays and Gay supporters always say that straight people are "afraid" of them?

Are you "afraid" that blacks or jews or woman etc etc are going to somehow ruin your life? Prolly not but does that mean you have to support them or like them in any way? Hell no!

As FD ski likes to point out everyone has the right to express themselfs wether they like having a dick shoved up their bellybutton or not.

MY opinion is that it is an illness and should be dealt with in the same manner as other mental illnesses.

No need to be so obtuse. We are not allowed to teach religion in our schools because we have a little thing called "separation of church and state". The basis of that notion is we don't want the church to dictate our morals or affiliations. Now it is suggested we integrate a lifestyle into our curriculum that is no more valid than religion. What we are then doing is allowing a state-sponsored entity (education) to normalize what could be called a fringe activity.

If I cannot teach religion for fear of ostracizing many who don't share my views, how could teaching homosexuality in public schools do any less so? Again, why not teach white power, it's the same thing?

I am not afraid of being homosexually raped- thanks for the stereotypical response. I am afraid of an agenda to normalize something that in my mind isn't normal. Like it or not, I too have the right to an opinion on the matter, and will resist all attempts to rationalize what cannot be natural behavior. Again, if you practice this in your own home, fine with me, really. Ask me to teach gay pride in school? Forget it. I work in schools, you don't. I know how these things come in increments. Today we teach about the wonderful things homosexuals have done in history; tomorrow we are teaching homosexual safe sex.

Oh, FWIW, for all the sex ed we do teach in school, those statistics you refer to just keep a climbin'. Teaching safe sex at school hasn't done a thing to reduce teen pregnancy nor the transmission of vd. If anything it has only made teen sex more socially acceptable. Please, quote me some statistics that prove otherwise.

I firmly believe these topics are the parents' responsibility, just as is religion. You would be the first one jumping around waving your arms if we taught religion in school, right? Well, I am religious but accept religion cannot be taught in school, nor is it the responsibility of the schools to do so. Why then should I bend to the will of a fringe group that I don't believe is right anyway?

Homosexuality is not a natural or normal thing. If it was, there'd be a whole slew of butt babies running around. Homosexuals do have a right to equal treatment and freedom of expression, but I also have the right to not want my children exposed to it.

GayTV? I could give a toejam, I give it 6 months tops before it's off the air. The fact that they feel the need to have their own programming strikes me as odd. The surest way to avoid being accepted is to make continual efforts to distinguish yourself from the rest of the population.
