Whine of the week, by ME – teamwork

>>>Thus my desire to return to the days of PNG in relation to friendly fire. I, along with my friends and squadmates, would make this guys life a living....sorry, I got carried away. <<<

The good old days. Used to have that lil thingy in AW years ago. It was used at times to errr ummm ...straighten out wayward dweebites.
I recall many a misfit logging in disgust as he couldnt take off or fly a half sector w/o countrymen taking turns using their mangy behinds for target practice. :D

'Tis a kinder and gentler society we live in now

While I too liked PNG, there is "the other side"

In one arena long ago, there was a squad that fancied itself the "police" of its country and made a point of fragging anybody they didn't like.  How they got away with it for so long I can't understand (clearly against TOS), but they did.   Some of those squad members actually had separate "fragger" accounts so they wouldn't  ever be PNG with their main account.

It kinda bit them in the arse though, because in that arena their country (Cz) was always outnumbered at least 2 to 1.  Nobody wanted to fly with them.

One more element in the Teamwork arena.

Roger Wilco.

If you have it, you tend to ignore typing messages and organization and just work with whos on your channel.

If you don't, you wonder why nobody is typing.

In our squad, the one without RW is a poor cousin.  We have to work to keep them in the loop.

OTH RW is great. But for organizing an arena it might be isolating groups rather than joining the arena.

I think we are going through a phase of lots of newbies joining from the old AW3 RR (Relaxed Realism) arena. Sadly, many can't be bothered to download the help file or even the key command file and clog up the text buffer with stupid questions. I make no apologies for telling 'em to RTFM.
On the other hand, I will always give a friendly a check six call regardless and am grateful to those who've saved my bellybutton on many occasions.
As far as kill stealing goes, it's a very subjective matter. The other night, having watched two friendles in a Spit and a N1K1 chase another N1K1 all over the countryside at nought feet for about 5mins without success, I eventually dived down and took out the nme with a BnZ pass. Only to get a load of abuse from the Spit pilot. Any opinions as to whether he was right or wrong?
