Aces High Writer's Awards.

Over the past couple of years I have spent WAY too much time reading what you all have had to say.  If there is one thing that separates us BB posters from other AH players, it's that we all seem almost compelled to waste loads of time reading and writing about the stupidest things.  There are a lot of good writers in here as well as a number of folks who can't seem to help but to show certain sides of their personalities.  While I originally intended this post to be a salute to others writing abilities, I soon realized that I'm not as good as I had hoped at recognizing and explaining what makes so many folks stand out as writers.  So naturally I let a good part of this thread digress to simply poking fun at people because that's all my little tard brain could handle.

Please consider the following list as the beginning of this Writer's Award Post.  I am merely the first presenter, and many others deserve to be recognized.  (Add yer own dang award if I left someone out!... Please)  :

Most Distinctive/Funky Writing Style - Hangtime
Hangtime's slang laden writing often includes Yoda-like wisdom and poetic voice, mixed with the street sound of J.J. Walker and the brazenness of Mr. T.

Most Surprising That He Can Write Well (Considering Where He's From) - hblair
Sometimes after reading a flawlessly written post, I hear my mind saying, "Is he really from Alabama?!"  (Sorry bud, but I just had to) :)

Most Compulsive Writer(s) - Ripsnort & AKdejavu
Over 10,000 Posts!  Rip is a sick man.
If we counted by number of words, I would bet that Akdejavu writes more than anyone.  Equally as sisk and adicted to the BB as Ripsnort.

Most Improved BB Writer- Fester/Citabria
Wha???  Think about it.  He finally figured out that he's better off, and more respected, the less he writes!  (Or did his CPU zonk?)

Best Pre Mission Write-Ups - Whitey/Break
Whitey was the Buccaneers last CO, dating back to our early Warbirds days.  He passed away over a year ago.  Only the old-time Buccaneers know exactly what I am talking about, but Whitey was most probably the best writer I have ever known.  His pre-mission write-ups were very well researched and often could be as humorous as only good professional writers could hope to match.

Most Embarrassing BB Post Ever - RAMMJAGR
I'm still at such a loss of words, I just can't comment.

Funniest - Creamo
It seams that everyone both loves and hates Creamo for his zings, behavior, humor and anti-social tone.  Try as you might to hate him, but he'll still make you laugh.

Best AARs - Sabre
Sabre's ability to blend WWII history with actual AH missions and a touch of fiction puts him in a league of his own.  His After Action Reports often read like mini biographical novels.

Most Antagonistic Troller- Lazs
No one is more able to intentionally push so many people's buttons and elicit such amazing response by saying such outlandish things.
He's such a Lazshole!

Muchest Broke Engleesh - Fariz
Not a slam bud, just a tease.  I'm impressed by anyone who can converse and write in more than one language.  However, I often read Fariz's posts 3 or 4 times and still don't have more than a clue what he is trying to say.

Most Prolific Highjacker(s) - The Fat Drunk Bastards
Always a side discussion going on.

Most Worshiped Writing - Pyro
Unquestionably the most anticipated and read writing comes from Pyro. His writing style is direct and to the point.  His word is our Gospel.

Why thank you Eskimo! I am speachless.. and feel honored.

Maybe a lil excited.

Allow me to pass the award on to somebody much more deserving of recognition... for his faithful depiction of humanity at its best and worse, and for his insightful commentary on the state of the collective mind of this community, a stickler for documented accuracy and the guy most feared and respected in any BBS debate worthy of the name..

Toad

And for their sharp incisive assaults against the P.C. Guardians of the Incredibly Assinine, I nominate two gentlemen who have my respect for having the balls to tell it like it is, no matter the subject..

MrFish, and Easymo

And lastly, to the guy I admire for no other reason than being a super-patriot republican with a super huge frothing basket of bile for anything clinton that can erupt in the most spectaular, creative and often hilarious directions...

Eagler

Gentlemen, I salute you all!
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.
