It's nice that some people can see in the dark and clouds...but that doesn't change the fact that I can't.

I am sure you wouldn't like them either if YOU couldn't see anything either.

I agree with Tac.

There was a hugh storm at 45. I upped 51 and grabbed into it heading to 45. Popping in and out of the clouds checking for cons. Started a dive out of clouds to 45 and cons came up, there Icons are a very dark red allmost black. It was wild, very hard to pick out cons against the ground.

Im guessing this is how it would be in bad weather conditions and i gota tell ya, i like it!!!!!!!!!

Got an 8 kill sortie in this storm in the Typhoon, rtb to a51 to hot rearm upped and added 2 more kills try to get to 45. Anyway rtb with a total of 10 kills.

What was even better was night time, the fighting was fantasic and soon found out it should be done with a winggie at night. 6 calls are handy as hell...

I like the strom front and night fighting.

Dog out.........

I like the clouds.  I like the effect when inside the weather.

I dont like the grey wall.  I dont like the squareness of the cloud bank either.  It should be less symetrical.  Should be more chaotic.  Sort of like nature.

I would also like to the sun to have a larger diameter of influence.  Its effect is too narrow.

Lasz, is the party over?

Scarey. I almost agree with lazs. The frame rate hit I experienced in the cloud layer, and near a field, was horrible. I think this will be fixed, as well as the transparency/buffer issue. The gray box is weird, but there are other issues at hand I can see.

The shadow effect under the clouds is really cool, but I think the clipboard should be unaffected, rather then darkened the way it is. I also noticed that being coalt, or below cloud layer, while simultaneously between the sun and cloud caused my plane to be in shadow. Obviously, this is a bug and I hope related to the transparency/buffer thing (you can see the ground under a cloud more clearly then the ground outside and through the haze)and, I hope, easy to fix.

All of these other issues concerning strategy and planes that are outclassed will, no doubt, be addressed in the future. For now, we have a really great game to play and plenty of variation to keep us entertained.

Every time there is an update I find myself having to rethink the entire game. That's fun!

I can't wait to see what you have in store for us, HTC! <S>

I just built myself a computer for a half of what a custom built box would have cost from one of the major suppliers.  AMD 1.0GHz and Geforce2 Pro vid card...it ROCKS!
I like the weather front and clouds!  I love popping in and out when in a dogfight...too cool!!  <S!> to Pyro and HiTech on this!

The clouds/weather sound like the best innovation that HTC has come up with for AH.

Oh man, I love the new cloud layer. It adds some real new tactical possibilities...

Dimmed clipboard shocked me first but now I come to like it: Hey, that's flying without radar!!!

Dimmed icons I loved from the first second: Hey, that's flying without those neon billboards over the planes!!!

Clouds now really offer the possibility to surprise and being surprised! AH was lacking that big time now we got it!!! Yehaw!

If you don't like the layer stay away from that areas! Same with night - hey, it's about 15min every 24 hours or so...   or grab a GV - extremly suited for surprise attacks...

What's the difference between Lazs and the Arados Jet engine ?

That Storm Front and Cloud Layer is a bombers dream, and a buff hunters dream too.

A buff hunters dream because it forces the buffs below the cloud deck to bomb.

A Bombers dream because you can use the cloud deck to evade.

We ran a B26 Sortie over 2 fields that were in the storm.  We ran just under the deck, and I mean just under it flying through low hanging wisps at points, on the way to target.  If a con got close we would pop up into the clouds to evade and back down to re-locate our target.

It was some of the most fun our squad has had in a while!

These new cloud layers are great!!

I'm with JAB, I cannot see anything when it gets dark or flying into the rain cloud?  I have everything turned to 100% have a geforce2 card and a 17 inch monitor.  When it starts to get dark out it is time to do something else then fly as it is now it is impossible to fly, but others seems to kill me at ease when I was flying.  Can't make out tac map, cannot see icons and the ground is invisible as well.  Landed one time by stroke of luck, died 15 times trying to find a place where I could fly and see.  Keep the clouds was fun losing a lanc in them, but the big squareish things need to be fixed.
