Call for Films - SEND 'EM to me!
« on: February 11, 2002, 01:57:37 PM »
Hiyas fellas,

Ok, Drex and I are working on a massive training website.  I have built the webpage, its in EARLY development :)  What would be a BIG help from all of you guys out there would be to send me film.  LOTS OF FILM!  It would certainly make my job easier if you named the film something descriptive like P47_rollingscissor or 190vSpit9 etc etc that way when I go through them and start to make them available I already have an idea of where to send put them.

Ok, here is my email .  Please send as many as you have that you think are useful for training purposes.  Either for showing a pilot what to do ... or what NOT to do.  Thanks again!

"Willy's gone and made another,
Something like it's elder brother-
Wing tips rounded, spinner's bigger.
Unbraced tailplane ends it's figure.
One-O-nine F is it's name-
F is for futile, not for fame."

That is exactly the type of stuff Iwould love to have Kweassa.  Of course I couldnt read a word on that page and didnt check out the hotlinks, but the front page illustration is awesome.

Is there a way for me to get a translation of this?  Do you mind if I use any of the material from the website?  I'll of course give you credit for all of it.

Nim may be a good idea to find out if the new film editor due for release is going to be compatible with all the old films before you put too much effort into this.
As it will show speeds etc of all aircraft it will be a far better training aid.

Yeah, with the 1.09 we will be able to make them into AVI's.. and THEN edit them in internet-avaliable AVI editors and make some kick-ass videos and films.

WOOOOT!

Thank you if you guys thought it was good. Actually was painstaking
process of play, stop, Alt+S, play, stop Alt+S, nope not the pic I want,
rewind, play, stop, Alt+S...  plus a little editing with the most crude
tool I have in posession, the MSPaint

I have 8 maneuvers explained this way on my site, with about 9~12
JPG pics each. If you are in need of these, I'll send you, no problem
(with a bit of translation of course).

The list of moves I tried to explain:

 Hammerhead
 Low Yo-Yo
 High Yo-Yo and rolling pursuit
 Evasives using roll rates
 Immelmann
 Buff Hunting
 Defensive: Spiraling decent
 Defensive: Barell Roll

But I think it might get outclassed if 1.09 with its new film functions
 kick in anytime soon :)
