finnaly a confession of a spitIX dweeb! lol j/k

looked all through here and no one will fess up to it. Maybe if i get bored here at "work" i'll take a gander at the people on this posts stats to see what your REAL favorite rides are. Theres atleast 100 spits in the MA at any given moment so some of you arent telling the truth :)

Favorite ride buy far:  p47-30

Pro's:

Much style; big, sexy, lethal looking.. to bad its white.

Fast, great high speed turning, rolling, stability.

Fun gun platform, theres something to be said about unloading 8x50s into something and shredding it (normaly put a extra hundred or so rounds into the target (for the hell of it!:D).

Once dove over 25k in a 0 G dive when very low on fuel and engaged with 3 mudstains who were working together (not a fun fight for me). I made it home, which is more than i can say for the hot headed one who followed me down heheh

Cons: the pilot

---

Other great rides i fancy. im actualy quiet fond of the F6F hellcat, almost rates up with my thunderbolt.

Pro's: in comparison to other planes in the MA theres not many "uber" characteristics besides its great short-term dive. What makes this air-craft so great is it is a "jack of all trades, master of none".. it doesnt everything good.

Cons: the pilot.

Also should add my love of the F4U-1a.. great bird as well, probably fly it more than the hellcat. Its all about style and class.

Love the speed and has wep unlike the 9u

Turning is good and feels very sturdy

The cannon is just mean:mad:  theres not very much but one round can blow someone out the sky.

Plus it's great for flying through hangers in

Last tour, I took up a 9T just to feel it out. On my landing approach, I spot a B-26 making a low run over the field. I pulled up gear and flaps, roll in on his high 6. BAM, BAM, BAM..... Three cannon shells later - no B-26. Awesome gun.

p-47!

well, she's not pretty, she doesn't turn, she does not accelerate...
There's a saying: "even the best french girl can only give what she has got". but this big american mama can always pull that little 'extra'... nose up, speed droping, you drop a notch of flaps, speed droping, tracers start buzzing near you... 100 mph plaps down, still steady as a rock.. just a little more... litteraly frozen in mid air but still controlable... and the bandit stalls... PEWW... nice and smoth flipover and he's all yours :D

try pushing the F4u squeak a little and you'll get slapped across the face :)

she's not the best preformer, but she has a kind heart and we love each other.
and when she's not looking, I'm taking her f6f daughter out to town :)

I like the YAK9U

Turns on a dime, slippery as an eel, relatively fast, takes a lot of abuse in handling, and is a small target. Decent views.  It really seems to fit my style of flying.  After reading the other posts I may try a 9T. :)

Cons:

No Wep, dinky little ammo load out.  Actually the ammo load-out may be a plus, as it keeps the YAK from being perked. :D

Darn nice little plane, just checked my K/D in the YAK9U it is  20/5.

I like the NIKI in furballs, along with the SpitV, although this tour I've been spending some quality furballing time in the Spit 9.  The YAK is a survivor in furballs, but not much of a killer in them.

My favorite would probably be the F4U-4 if the darn thing wasn't so unreasonably perked.

109G-2. Normal weapons loadout (no gondolas). I like the all-around uberness, as anything in Finnish markings is bound to be near invincible. Plus if you lean to the left you can see the oil cooler thingy.

only G10 and FW-A5

G10 is my Fav ride. Best Climb, very good Speed and its a great dogfighter. Buffhunting is cool too. I fly it w 30mm only, i hate this 20mm and the Gondolas killing there performance.

A5 is very good Fighter, its a mix from A8 and G10 for me. Great Dogfighter w a Waeponset like Starship.

i hate Allied Planes and cant fly it, i use it only in Mission.

Niki is great too :D :D i used the Niki only by Mass Attacks from GVs, 2xeggs and his Cannons are for me the best GV killer in Game.

I like pain. I fly the P-38. Take it from there.

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

I guess I'm the only La7 pilot with the balls to say so here.

The La7's been my ride for 3 TOD's so far and I'm still getting better in it. All the whines about perking it and the general squeaking about it on these boards gives me that extra bit of satisfaction when I get a kill, especialy since you have to get up close and personal do kill anything :D...it's a good feeling being able to land a 10+ kill sortie and they're happening more and more for me now :p

I unabashedly fly the Spit V.  It is, after all, the only way I can get kills.

Don't you believe him, folks. Put 'ol Leviathn in a Hurricane IIC and he'd be as big, or even greater menace. Why? Because, that Hurri has 4 monster hizookas and a tighter turning radius than the SpitV.....

Really, the Hurri draws geeks like no other fighter. They rush to get the easy kill, only to find they are out-turned and vaporized by those mighty Hispanos. How well does it turn? Good enough to get a SpitV and La-7 while still hauling two 1,000 lb bombs, which I forgot that I was carrying. Dumb luck was probably a major factor as well.....;) Sometimes it's better to be more lucky than good. A little of both doesn't hurt.

Gotta agree with SunKing and Shift. The Yak-9T has become my favorite ride. It's my prefered buff killer by far. Most buff's ignore the Yak's because they assume it's the Yak-9U, fatal mistake. :)
The 37mm has very little drop so I find kills are pretty easy once you get in semi-close to the enemy. One shot for fighters and 2-3 for bombers.  Also the limited load helps develope better gunnery skills for other rides.

Oh yea, the LA-5FN also has a special place in my heart. :)
