Weird stuff about the bodies found in Georgia.
« on: February 17, 2002, 01:30:17 PM »
By now you all have read or heard the reports....

In reading the news online I began following some links:

http://www.blcremationsystems.com/

Under the ancillary equipment section, they had something called an Infant Cremation Pan. I believe (and hope) the industry is generally responsible when faced with such responsibility.

Regards,

So what's the big deal?? It's not like HE killed all those people- they were already dead when they arrived at his place of business. I hope none of you has ever gotten a little behind in YOUR work and ended up in jail for it.

Having bodies lying around your place of business is probably a health hazard... :D

Not quite the same as having a full "IN" box.

If this is some attempt to stir things up in here, it's in very poor taste.

If you're serious in your statement, I'd have to say you're one diddlying insensitive amazinhunk. How would you feel if you had entrusted a funeral home to care for the remains of your mother or father and found out they just dumped their body somewhere out in the woods like some piece of trash?

To be honest, and not to lessen how someone else might feel about it, I don't think it'd bother me much.  Tho' I'd probably refuse the honor of identifying the remains.

When my father passed, I had him creamated and spread his ashes in the lake near his house.  -edit- for any anal legal types, I was uh...just kidding about that last sentance. -edit-  Kind of a sentimental thing at the time.  I didn't get a tombstone or a plot and I really didn't feel any sentimental attachment to his corpse.  I've got pictures and memories...that's what's important.

Just another point of view from someone who doesn't really care what happens to his body after he's dead.

Hey, I'm the first to admit that I'm not politically correct. And I didn't trust my parents' remains to a funeral home, BTW. Dad died in 1972 and we had him stuffed. When Mom finally expired in 1995 the technology was much better and I had her freeze dried. She was always concerned over her weight, and now she only weighs twelve pounds.
I take them for rides every day, too. That way I can use the car pool lane.

Spank you very much,

So one day, the furnace at the crematorium craps out.

The guy gets some business later that day, and thinking on his feet, he receives the body with decorum, and then promptly takes it out back when the people leave, maybe with the good intention of cremating it as soon as he can get his furnace fixed.

That isn't too far fetched. I think with maybe just a little effort, you could picture yourself doing that in a pinch.

But I was thinking, what kind of a guy stays open for business, and keeps right on receiving bodies, and stacking them out back?
Business is good, so he's got so many smelly cadavers piled up he runs out of room, and starts dragging them out farther away. And they keep piling up.

What kind of dude can do this without worrying too much about it?

He is more or less in the same league as the fellow that  tried to break down the door of the UAL flight and got whacked in the head by a F/O with an axe.
