The Olympics...now what?
« on: February 18, 2002, 09:55:19 AM »
I think it was admirable of the IOC and ISU to come to a decision so quickly in the pairs figure skating scandal. Now...if this becomes a trend do the rest of the "cheated" get their medals too? Roy Jones is already talking about his outrageous loss in 1988. What about the medals won by the East German ladies in the 70's and 80's. They have gone so far as to track down documents proving steriod use and it has been testified-to in court.

But even better...what about the Silver medalist in the 1932 womens 100 meters, or the Bronze medalist in 1936.
 Stella Girlyfella

Not to mention the Press sisters from Russia who disappeared when sex testing was implemented in the 60's.

Was it the last Winter Olympics or maybe the one before? Think there was a Canadian or U.S. competitor in one of the snowboard events. He popped positive for THC in his bloodstream and the IOC took his medal away, but then had to give it back because marijuana isn't considered a performance enhancing drug.

Too funny.
