what Mrsid2 said in his post re gangbangs, regardless of the arena.

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.

These are what I've come to dislike in the arena but I have no solutions.

1.  Rooks are always outnumbered when Im on.

2.  People whining on ch 1 about how AH sucks and that xxxx was such a better game.

1) Be happy, you have more targets to shoot at! :D
Actually to have numbers is not that funny anyway... You fly to combat only to find 1 red con already being engaged by 5 greens, oh well...

2) .squelch 1

oh well... ;)

Very well put MrSid.  That was exactly what I was trying to say :)

In response to MadBirdz...not only does

More Enemy = More Targets to shoot at

 but as a corollary:

More Enemy = More Planes Trying to Shoot Ya Down.

Sometimes going against outrageous numbers can be fun but all the time?

ahhhh, it's ok to whine on the boards about this in hopes people would "wake up" and stop being so dweeby, but not on ch1?

kind of moot when 80%+ of the player base doesn't really care squat about what's on the boards - or might not even know about them.

This thread should win Whine of the Week

It's really funny reading these posts about the how one country has more numbers than the rest or how two countries always team up on the third.  I've been reading whines like this for 8 years now and it's amazing how they still make me laugh.  Basically the numbers whine...err argument is like that of the 'Perk the Niki/La7/Spit' whine...err argument.

If someone wants to fly for the Bishops/Knights/Rooks and they happen to have the most numbers, so what?  When my squad moved over here to Aces High, we started out as Knights and made Knightland our new home.  Not because we have the most pilots but because most of our friends in other squadrons from that 'other' game fly for the Knights as well and we have FUN flying with our friends.

So until one of ewe whiners start ponying up $15 bucks a month to pay for my account, please don't tell me where or for whom or what to fly.

You have the option to play as you like akak.

The question is whether the players make smart decisions or not..

In my opinnion when the sides are hugely out of balance, the only smart decision is to even up the sides..

Yea...and it sUXXoRs too :D How smart is a decission to switch sides only to find yourself fighting against your own squad since you can't switch back for 24 hours or whatever it is. No thanks, usualy the lopsided numbers ballance out with time but not on a timetable. 4-5 months ago it was the Bishies in the hole on a regular basis, lots of whines but in the end it really was no big deal. So, if you see that the Rooks are in the hole number wise, that's just the way it is, log on 6 hours from that time and most likely you'll see the ballance shift. Now suck it up! I heard an old WWII vet put the Pearl Harbor attack in perspective this way...

"An old Cival War General used to say" "You attack them when they're not lookin' and with the mostest men, that's how you win a battle."

Nice try MrLars, but since we have the 3 country system you can always choose to fight the other hostile country instead of your squaddies. That's what I do. When I play at night and say, knights are being banged, I can join them and fight the bish.

The squad loyalty is a big issue in this though.. I rejected many requests to join squads that would have forced me to fly a certain country all the time.

I've been flying as a paid customer since tour 19 and during all those months (at my timezone) the rooks have been 'in the hole.'

That means I've sucked it up for quite a long time, now I just can't stand to watch anymore. I have to do something, protest, bite.. walk or talk.

You don't have to share my views MrLars. But I'm trying to make more players think about the possible benefits of making the play more fair at times of imbalance.

Never been an issue with me.  Sometimes the bish are getting squeezed, sometimes they are squeezers.  However, I absolutely loath nits (ie dweebs) and rooks (ie ie dweebs) so its an easy decision for me.

Long live the BISH!

It's never been the issue for you because you haven't flown rooks. Bish and nits have it so easy that they have no reason to complain, obviously.

I'm willing to bet $100 bucks that if HiTech was to foolishly implement some of your ideas, you'd still bleet like a sheered ewe.

The dog welps where the cain hits..

Besides, I'm not asking HT to do anything. Just the players to use their brain.

Of course fair fights would make many of you skeerd wouldn't they?

So easy to hide behind numbers..

I have been there.... I have flown for Knight and for Rooks... And I was desperate... It were not numbers that made me and my squaddies to regret the country change only few hours after the switch, no... Not at all. Somehow it was the, well... I would use the term 'mentality' of those nations (no offensive meaning of the word intended). Flying for those countries was from our point of view pure chaos, almost no organization nor cooperation... We were always happy to be Bishops again and we wont do any country changes probably ever again (In the MA).

And btw, stop whining... Because when we were fighting for 'your' sides we surprisingly found out that Bishops are the most easy targets around... So where is the problem? :D
