So... There I was bored lying around the house Sunday night with nothing to do. Well chit, I have a little more than an hour to waste but I really do not feel like going toe to toe with the bad guys. Hell with it, I’ll jump in a bomber.
So off I went. I took off with a 150-mile trip in front of me and would you believe it, I logged in just as the sun was almost down. “Maybe I’ll be safe with the cover of night”, was going through my head. You see I had to have this as all I could think about was flying 150 miles to target just to be shot down at 23K and not a bomb released on target.
Long story short I was able to reach altitude and drop on two separate fields. I then had some more fun and dropped to less than 1K above the field to try the “ack-star” I have seen so many others perform. Of course my bad gunnery only made me a nice big target for everyone else. That was ok though as all the cons were cleared by the surrounding friendlies. I landed with only one engine out, all ordinance dropped, and an assist on a pesky spitfire.
This leisure little jaunt provided a lot of fun. Not sure why I’m posting this other than to say the MA has a lot going for it. I have flown more fighter rolls then my normal attacks and have had quite a bit of fun doing it.
