Figures, when you need a cop he's sitting in a donut shop

Not in Portland, it got so bad here the mayor banned cops from donut shops while in uniform (no joke)

In Portland they sit and make sure there's no trouble at the tittie bar.

Sandman made a disparaging comment about your mother.

It was a comment AND a picture involving his mother.

My MAMA?? Sandman was talking bout my MAMA??? Oh man, what a lousy thread THIS turned out to be! First there's no stripper pictures as promised by AK, then Sandman talks about my Mama!
The only reason I even wanted to see the strippers anyway is because my wife put a block on all Internet sites except this one and Online Teletubies after she caught me surfing porn sites.
I don't know who is colder- AK for advertising nonexistant pictures, Sandman for macking on my MAMA, or my wife for putting a block on my Internet access. I am a victim here. All I know is that I really wanted to see some naked boobies, and instead all I got wa...hey, wait a second...DejaVu didn't say STRIPPERS...He said STRIPERS!! Well, that's different. A "striper" is either a kind of Bass or a guy who paints lines in parking lots. Either way I don't care enough about Stripers to look at fish pictures or some dude painting out parking spaces.

Nevermind.

After seeing those pics, I'm thinking you may want to invest in an idea that I'm bouncing around.

A new form of car alarm.

A 13" meatal phallic shaped rod is installed on a pnematic piston under the drivers seat.

Upon the engine starting the auto operator has 30 seconds to disarm the gadget via thumbprint verification on a tamper proof touchpad.

If the system is not disarmed the "Violator™" lunges up thru the seat impaling the car thief in the rectum, forcing his head up and aginst the interior roof of the auto. This will place his feet out of range of the brake and gas pedals, thereby unable to operate the auto.

As a warning to car thieves a sticker is placed statigically that states;

"Trespassers will be VIOLATED"

For more information on investing in the "Violator™" contact me at violators R us.com

You could have the security system we discovered on this old Cushman scooter when I was a kid.

The thing was a worn out piece of crap but great fun for us, until the day I (being the largest and therefore heaviest of my friends) discovered the critical design flaw/security system.

The seat was over the engine, and being an old piece of crap the upholstery was worn off and the seat was just foam rubber, some springs and a couple feet of duct tape.

So one day I hit a fairly large bump on this thing, the springs compress, the seat goes down, the sparkplug pokes it's was up through the foam to nestle viciously between the cheeks.

Now that could be incorporated into one effective security system.

I like the James Bond security system

Someone tugs on the locked door, the car explodes

Seriously,

What's insurance saying?  Rebuild or buy new?

As for me, I drive a Saturn Sports Coupe (the ultimate oxymoron).  I could leave it running with a neon "STEAL ME" sign and they wouldn't take it without a bribe!

The car is totalled.  No doubt about it.  The insurance company isn't even going to fight that.

Now we begin the process of determining "fair market value".  My first impression is its somewhere around $20k.  They haven't given me an estimate yet.

In the meantime.  They are running an internal investigation to make sure I'm not trying to pull an insurance scam.  Things just worked out too well for me... they HAVE to investigate that.  I don't blame them at all.  There are too many people willing to steal virtually anything these days.  Its pretty sad actually.  This will turn out to be a "victimless" crime (except to the insurance company)... but somehow I still feel like a victim.  For some reason, I feel the same way about virtually every other "victimless" crime that people try to justify in some flippant way.  Oh well... putting the soapbox away.

In the mean time.. I have to decide what I want to do about the car payment.  I'm not a big fan of paying on something that is totalled, so I hope things are settled before the 14th of next month (so I don't go 1 month overdue).

Show the bank these pictures.  I mean, I'm a credit union user myself, but wouldn't any rational bank realize that you are working with the insurance company at the moment and give you a break til the investigation is complete?
