I wish we could make a text file with a list of handles that would be squelched automatically upon login.

Ya know next time HTC works on a sfx version of the game they need to put in a language filter. :/

I get enouph cussing when I play Rogue spear. I come here for a break from it.....but still these two were kinda funny I have to admit.

Unfortunately Joemud has been part of the problem and not the solution.

Kbman, vailiant though sending screen shots into HT. But this will get you a nice little letter from Ronnie saying she will pass it on to HT or Pyro. Seems theres not much they can do about as they dont want to lose a paying customer.

Ive sent screen shots to HT, But the guy came back and the 1st thing outa his mouth was Hahahahaha Wardog, told you id be back.

So until theres a filter of some sort built in, .squelch Joemud is the only releif from this kind of verbal abuse.

Although HT should code the .squelch command to save names in a squelch list..

 Not sure why I watched that. Kind of figured what the cam had but maybe I've too much time on my hands this am  
 
 This type of "drive by" harrasment online will be a fact of life as long as any person can grab a free two week trial and fly in the same arena(s) as the paying subscribers do.  It's obvious these two, sport or amazinhunk, in any way ever intended to enjoy the sim or be part of the community.
 I am quite suprised though at the number of "mature" folks who helped perpetuate and spur on these two by even replying to them and thenharrassing them back.
 Anyway. Not trying for a sermon here. Cod know I'd be a hypocrite if I did. But if those two had been squelched by everyone then the lack of response by the real community folks would have be  thier defeat. They would have gone away.
 
 I am, however, much more disappointed there wasn't a call for a real dweeb hunt. That's the saddest part.

Does the .squelch command squelch private messages too?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it doesn't work if the squelched guy writes to you in private. Is it still true?

I'd sure like a .squelch option for UBB too. I really miss widespread use of newsgroups. We even had kill files back in 1992.

In many aspects Web forums are a step backward.
