Oh geez! I took the kids trick or treating last night, went to the grocery store this afternoon and later paid some bills. I once heard a story from an old man about his cowboy days. I went to bootcamp in San Diego. I used to own a pretty nice Mustang with a 302. One of my grandmothers was named Francis.

This response makes as much sense as yours did if you take into consideration that all of those events probably provoked Lazs.

Let's get several things straight.

A)UBB *does* suck purple monkey balls (or arse) All HTML boards do.

B) Most web boards do, as compared to NNTP. (works like e-mail)

C) Most game companies use HTML boards to reach the lowest common denominator.

D) AW did the *same thing* so it's not about trying to make this - like that.

Will it change - unlikely. The *best* of the web-boards are HTML *and* allow NNTP access thusly giving the user a CHOICE. Alas, those are few and far between.

Is anybody slamming HTC here - no.
Is anybody slamming AH here - no.

But the observation that web-boards suck in general is valid.

What we did in AW was "tolerated" the HTML boards and used our OWN NNTP boards for events that we put together. I assume that won't ever change.

Rotor's just having some fun with the dreaded UBB boards... dont take the bait.

Heh, I like this UBB. I liked it more in the old format, because back then it was faster.

Having said that, NNTP *is* more user friendly. It is faster, more configurable and so forth. I'm an avid newsgroupie (alt.binaries.pictures.erotica .freuleins.in.gstrings.bestia lity being my favourite) so wouldn't mind NNTP. AH and pr0n on same application. Nice.

that's your opinion and I respect it. However, why is it so hard for you Airwarriors to respect us and our game? I'd like an impromptu vote to see how many prefer it the way it is right now. I like ubb and I dont think it sucks 'purple monkey balls.'

"troll faction"? Are you now paranoid as well? If you recall from Diche's ng, I had to drop the $30.00 a month plan. Now that AW is almost no more and wwiionline can't program their way out of a paper bag and HT lowered the price I am on the way in. As soon as we get my DNS won't resolve fixed.

By the way, you know me, you know I only proposed one troll action ala "Rancid" and that was going to be for an April Fools joke.

When I first came to AH there were a few people who seemed to think it was them vs. the world, as I recall you weren't one of them then.

Not in the least. and my sense of humour is not only intact but growing. Not from this stuff mind you. When you think some folks "entrances" and the continued reply of "odd" posts with others in the AH community (ex: Arlo) are normal and funny I have to assume you're part of the well over done but still perpetuating "let's tweak the AHers noses" trolling.
