I ran into a Hellcat Ace.

Actually I get shot down in Spits quite a lot.  Usually when I get drawn into a low fight......I kill whatever it is I was chasing then get jumped by half the arena......and the spit doesnt run away very well.  


This is why I've been flying the P51 more recently......and spinning lots.  LOL.


Also found that spending more time in .50cal armed birds like the P51 and F6F has ruined my gunnery in cannon armed birds.  So Invasion Silicy is gonna be interesting if I cant hit anything.......so.......back to the typhoon for me for a while until I can hit stuff again.   Then I'll be a crappy shot in the .50cal birds again.......

There just isnt a happy medium.    

Just for interest, Cav and I hated the Hellcat when we were first forced to fly the damn thing in Hostile Shores.  Since then we've both kinda developed a love for them........but I still wont dump my lovely spit for an ugly old F6.

I ran into Nath flying the F6F last night. He hasn't quite figured out how to fully exploit the Hellcat yet, but when he does, watch out, 'cause he's quite talented.

I'd beat anyone in this game in the F6F 1v1, including cavalear. And I fly it about 3 times a week.

So, Widewing, stop making blanket statements about people's skills because you get one or two kills on them when they are not even fighting you or when you start off with six with the greatest advantage possible while in one of the best TnBers in the game. IF you had lost to an F6F in the position described above, that would surely be sad. Don't forget that I was also setting you up for DMF.

Nath, Cav has been in AH since beta days (214thCavalear, with The Wrecking Crew back the) and has been in the Hellcat cockpit since it was first introduced, we've had a helluva time ripping him out of it, but, since hes the quiet type, he doesn't draw alot of attention.  Those are the guys that make ya jump.
