An "unofficial" AH theme song
« on: July 29, 2001, 01:59:00 PM »
Flying Aces High TOO much? Whenever I think I'm flying it too much I just grab a beer, turn on my amp and start playing my much-neglected guitar. Anyway, I decided to write a song about Aces High, so I called it "Aces High", and recorded it this weekend in my little home studio. Style is classic rock. Click here to listen. For me, it's time to fly again, especially since Mindanao is back!   :)

Doesn't sound like much-neglected guitar playing to me!  Seems like you've been playing WAY too much AH.  ;)  :D

Bravo! Here are the lyrics- hope you don't mind- for those that don't download the MP3.

Quote
Lyrics
Crawling upon me like ants in a bad dream
they settle upon me and tear at my heart
Circling and zooming and everything booming
I can't take much more my Spit's coming apart

Grasping the throttle and workin it hard
There are idiots screaming and yelling with glee
Now I'm a smokin and throwin off pieces
Cause all the Fat Drunk Bastards are shooting at me

Into the furball with reckless abandon
When all of the instincts within me say run
Watching and waiting and turnin and burnin
I gotta remember that its all in good fun

Crawling upon me like ants in a bad dream
they settle upon me and tear at my plane
Circling and zooming and everything booming
I can't take much more cause I'm going insane

Aces High, Almighty God
They'll fly me to the ground
Aces High oh me oh my
Don't let them
Shoot me down

This correlation
Subjugation permutation
Explaining no part
Of this long interrogation
Put the nose down hard
And looked up to the sky
Put down thy red guitar and fly

Fly...
Hahaha

Put the nose down hard
And looked up to the sky
Put down thy red guitar and fly

Into the furball with reckless abandon
When all of the instincts within me say run
Watching and waiting and turnin and burnin
I gotta remember that its all in good fun

Grasping the throttle and workin it hard
There are idiots screaming and yelling with glee
Now I'm a smokin and throwin off pieces
Cause all the Fat Drunk Bastards are shooting at me

Aces High, Almighty God
They'll fly me to the ground
Aces High oh me oh my
Don't let them
Shoot me down

Leave now to climb the mountain
One way trip to the summit
Leave behind the workplace roadkill
The interpersonal strife
Fly on to the end run
Peace and calm without
I don't plan to bring necessities
I don't plan to bring the wife
Put down at Dobodura
Dig the nose right in
Sever the ropes that bind us
With my red Swiss Army knife

Definitely need to hear this one to appreciate it.
