I think it is. The fokker is a Dutch plane, used in defence of the Netherlands during the German May Blitzkrieg.

Cosmetic simularities .... some. Many differences, though. Taildragger, recips, observation/gun blister. Still, the simularity is there and I believe hearing about pilots in the Med who, upon seeing the Lightning for the first time, thought it was this bird and attacked them. I may have to recheck my sources on that.
