I think it is. The fokker is a Dutch plane, used in defence of the Netherlands during the German May Blitzkrieg.

Any comments, anyone?     :)

Cosmetic simularities .... some. Many differences, though. Taildragger, recips, observation/gun blister. Still, the simularity is there and I believe hearing about pilots in the Med who, upon seeing the Lightning for the first time, thought it was this bird and attacked them. I may have to recheck my sources on that.  :)

Arlo, I still immidiatly attack a P38 when I see one  :). Yummie, two-tailed candybars, what's what they are for me  :)

And I say the resemblence is too big to be coincidence   :) The Yanks stole our design   :D   ;)
