Kee rap, I am in a squad because I want to hear and fly with my AK buddies not listen to banter on a general channel.

This kee rap of listening to other pilots is annoying.

Give us the option to turn that voice kee rap off, and use Roger Wilco PLEASE!!

Just boot RW externally and use an unmapped key for transmit. Somebody will have to host and tell everybody what the IP is.

I love the banter of range channel ahvoice.

But RW now says that some game is using the voice channel. Wonder who that could be???

They still haven't fixed the problem of having to use your right gas tank first or both get drained. Seems to me 1.08 bugs should be addressed before we add a bunch of new ones.

Oh, well, someday there will be a decent WWI sim, I'll move there, and then there will be a whole bunch of new bugs to work out.

I turn all the AHVoice sliders down and then eat the framerate hit while using a Roger Wilco base station being hosted by one of my squaddies who doesn't actually fly anymore but still finds reason to use RW for first person shooters.

I like the voice. I listen mostly, but wish it was as clear as RW.

Sometimes it's almost clean, most times it sounds like a synth-robot. Is that bandwidth related?

Fatty sounds like himself sober talking through a fan like Chris Farley in "Tommy Boy", and if he got wasted like he does time to time, it couldn't possibly project the humiliating slurs I've become accustomed too.

A shame actually.

You think AHVoice will improve through coding, or is the robot voice the norm?

I like the AH voice, I think it is a great improvement over RW. Being able to see who is talking is great and it has been very stable for me.

We are part of a social experiment, I don't think many other games have this 'area chat' feature yet. So far it seems to be working out good, especially for team work and helping newbies who have questions.

However, sometimes I don't want to listen to the open channel messages but I still want to use the voice with my squad. In this case it would be nice to be able to easily squelch the area voice channel alone.

What bug is this? Haven't seen this one.

Or are you looking at the auto fuel tank switching and thinking it's a bug? The auto switching tries to keep the plane balanced by burning from one side then alternating to the other side. In the pony for example, auto switching burns the Aux tank, then alternates between the left and right wing tanks. Put drop tanks on it and it burns the Ext then Aux, then alternates between left/right wings. (cept I always burn Aux before Ext

I unchecked every box in the Voice panel and moved the top two sliders to the left and the Special Effects one to the right. Works fine except for a possiable small FR hit.
It would be nice if there were two versions of AH. One with AHvoice and one without. That would solve all the problems.

it's adjustable. simply slide the 'effects' volume slider to the right in AH Voice..
that way it doesn't sound like your engine quit when someone speaks.

for me AH Voice is very clear.
I just ignore non-squad related messages...
