An Idea for the TA
« on: March 28, 2002, 01:10:22 AM »
I got an idea for the TA. I don't know how many flew AW3. But the TA there had this feature that is ya shoot some down. You keep flying. Not only keep flying you get a new plane. With full ammo load gas % you started with everything. Reason i thoght of this. Me and FLS were sparin together the other day. And everytime FLS killed me I had to take off and climb over and over.
I think we got 4 or 5 flights in the span of an hour or so (maybe less). In AW it really aidded in training. Beause when someone died they kept flying. And didn't waste time taking off and climbing to alt.
So is there any chance of this in the TA???

What about when you are in there trying something new and someone decides to shoot you down for the heck of it, and this goes on for 20 minutes?

Yeah, you might learn something...but you might as well fly in the MA.

Good idea CW, or you could add "air start" from some field. You start at 10k on some fields and 20k on some fields etc.

Big 10-4 on that, however I might add, in the Dueling arena, you can start at 15,000 feet at one of the high fields.  The TA is being used like the DA SHOULD be used. ;)

That's because the TA has 10x ammo loads. Can you say SSSPPPRRRAAAYYY and Pray?

Intersting Idea . . .

except that in AW3 you got shot until you blew up.  In, AH of course, the damage model is a generation or two beyond that.

Are you going to keep flying even after your wing comes off?  Or until you crash because you had no elevators?  And when you do spiral down to the dirt and die where would you restart?  6 ft under?

I'm sure these problems are not insurmountable but they should be considered.

Honch, I would say that you would get the 'new' plane if
1. Pilot kill
2. Bail out

other than that, damaged planes would fly just like they normally do. If your wing gets shot off, bail out and ... Presto-Chango! ... you are in a brand new ride, flying level and ready to go again.

Good Idea Midnight,

I knew ther'd be some smart people out there to overcome that.

I suppose my comment was more biased as to how much I like AH over AW.  My apologies.

Roger that Rip, problem with the DA for some people who wanna train is that they die quite easily and don't have much ammo (which is a better way to train IMO).

DA is nice, surprised not more people use it.
