Custom Tiles----- Pokie
« on: April 02, 2002, 11:20:17 PM »
I noticed custom tiles in pokie's terrains.... some made by jihad. Are these bitmaps, if so how do I encorporate them into the editor for use. :)

You'll find the original textures in C:\Program Files\HTC\aheditor\terrains\textures

They are terr0000 to terr0020.  Copy and paste these into the folder of the terrain you are making.

Open them with a paint program and make changes to them.

Try messing with terr0000 using Windows paint and then run the editor.  You will see the changes you did with the Water Tile.

P.S  Remember, these files are 256 bit color

Thanks Nuttz :D   for checking up on me.  That's what it was suppose to be  ;)

By the way Shuffler!  Nuttz is where I got 99% of my Non-HTC Textures, and I used to have some on my FTP site but with the lack of space, and with Nuttz having a web site coming soon, I removed them.

Hawk52, I don't know why.
Either reinstall the editor again or you can download them from me.  I just made a self-extracting zip file for you.

http://accesswave.ca/~tscott/AH-stuff/AH-Editor&Stuff/textures.exe

I'll leave if there for a couple of days before removing them.

i also didn't have the textures folder installed.

TE 2.082 is the first version i installed, so i'm wondering if the textures folder was installed with previous versions but not this one.... just a guess.    i couldn't see any individual tile BMPs anywhere... i wonder if they're embedded in the application now?

thanks pokie, i grabbed them from your site too...

:)  Thank you pokie.... I have been trying everything I could think of without success. I don't have a texture folder in my editor but have downloaded yours. Now on to bigger better terrains.

Thanks Again
