CH USB keystrokes no longer working.
« on: April 16, 2002, 03:32:19 PM »
Short story: got a new HDD today & reinstalled XP .. forgot to save the joystick files :D

Anyway, I've been into a "reinstall evening" and all seems to work fine but this:

I used to have most of my setup butons assigned to keyboard keys (uncheck the DX device in CHCtlMgr). I applied the mapping to the HOTAS, the devices & DX buttons show alright, but it don't seem to use/accept the keyboard strokes (nothing appear if I try it in a txt document)... what have I done wrong ? :(

Tried clearing everything, reassigning devices, applying the setup, activate the mapping, nits, nada, null. help!

Should version 1.23, if it is this one you are asked to have the USB devices attached when you set it up, the older version asks for the USB deviced to be unpluged.

Well, I think that's the thing I 'll end up doing, but go figure, it used to work fine!

(Used CH Delete yesterday, & reinstalled the Devices, no go...)

Cheers :)

Go to your System control panel - > Hardware -> Device manager.
Check the devices in there, my HID compliant keyboard had a little red cross on it. I 'uninstalled it' & rebooted.

It works fine now.
