But when i shoot the enemy's tail off, dont kill steal

I couldnt agree more with you on this Joe, I hate it when someone does that.  It happens every once in a while, but not real common.  I usually go private with the guy who did it and tell him I dont appreciate that kind of play, and I leave it at that.

I agree with you Dago, but in my case, there happen's to be a few "Usuall Suspects", who repeadly kill steal from me. It's as if they follow me around, and purposely target me and only me. Oh well, i just wont understand some people

Come on, how can you NOT tell that a plane doesnt have a wing or a tail.

The wing is pretty easy to tell. So is the entire tail section.

Sometimes, if the color of the plane is right and the sky and terrain is somewhat dark, I've not noticed missing elevators and horizontal stabs until I'm practically on the plane. Even then... the only time I've had difficulty seeing them has been when I'm in a steep dive and I can't really get a feel for the targets lack of forward motion.

This is the most pathetic, childish, idiotic behaviour I have seen in a while here. A yellow message patting you in the back for shooting a few pixels is so important to you, that you must haunt someone (who probably has you squelched anyways) and click the check six key so many times that your grandchildren will have carpal tunnel syndrome.

"....Out of every 3 times i shoot off a planes tail, my kill we be stolen AT LEAST once....".

Here's a possible solution...shoot more parts off.

Why are you only shooting the tail off by the way?

it was crazy off a5 the other day I was with 3 squaddies flying together we knocked down the high ones. We would kill a guy to watch 5 guys chase the con all the way to the deck one even augered trying to get an already ded plane. After the first few times I was on channel one calling the folks by name asking them why they keep shooting at planes some one else has already killed. Its not about score as much as some fediddlein pos that cant get a kill on his own.

Some of use dont need more then a few well placed hits to get a kill. I fly 109s wih 1 x 20 or 1 x 30mm once hes ded theres no reason to spray and pray like you allied pilots. My kill zone is 250 - 350. Flying like this vert stabs and shooting off the tail of the plane is how i get most of my kills. Every allied pilot fires from up to d 1k and can afford to hold the trigger fer a 1 sec or 2. If a 109 pilot does this he rtbs every few minutes. Same for yaks.

I think its funny that some folks are using what they can to mess with these types. Joe delete your check 6 .wav that way you wont have to worry about them 1000 responses.

Maybe like dogs some folks can be conditioned out of a certain behavior. If not it may be fun to irritate the crap out of them.

HeHe!

I just love to watch some one do this after I have shot some one down.  It is really comical and a pretty entertaining thing to watch.   Nothing better than watching a team mate shooting and shotting at a dead A/C.  If some needs a kill so bad, let them have it.

Cracks me up, steal my kills please!:D

In the interest of conserving ammo, I elect to not spray until the baddie blows up.  If I see a critical piece come off, I disengage.  I'm sure many "pilots" do the same.  (I don't experience much kill stealing, though, as I am a dweeb and get into most of my fights below 10k.)

JoeCrip,

Listen dude, "Relax, it's just a game." :D

I have had this happen to me as well, and I have also done it a number of time, more on the side of a mistake.  I would rather conserve ammo than shoot down a plane that is going down.

I distinctly remember two instances when I "stole" a kill.  Once, when I was a newbie, I wanted to make sure the buff was going down.  Second, I was so intent in getting the kill, I failed to notice that the enemy was floating, probably more due to lag.

When it did happen to me, the Spit was half winged obviously about to lose control.  However, in the furball, 5 or 6 guys decided to go after it anyway.

But so what?  Can't you enjoy the game without getting a kill?  Resorting to multiple check 6 calls and then justifying it here... well... you are no different from the guy who took your kills.

Relax, it's just a game.  Don't let getting kills the only source of your enjoyment in the game.

Get a life, man. It's just a game. I score infrequently, and often have kills stolen, simply because I'm a bad shot.   I leave a con smoking and going down and someone else finishes him off.
