I mean, Seagoon, that the problem is that some pseudo-rooks tend to change sides at the first sign of trouble (been there, not done that

), and that happens because this is a game, and loyalties and honor are not high in the list of priorities (having fun is).
Add to that equation that we rooks carry remarkably well the underdog cliché, and you see people fleeing to the bishes or knits all the time.
The only people that change sides to the rooks is because of pity or because they are looking for a challenge

So, what I mean by this "HTC intervention" is that something has to be done to stop the constant fleeing of players by giving them something that will keep 'em interested even when losing.
Free perk rides is one option, and some will stay, and a perk multiplier based on number of bases captured (the less bases a country has, the higher the multiplier) would accomplish two things:
1. The attacking country, with superior numbers, would be driven to win the reset quickly
2. The defending country would defend relentlessly in order to win more and more perks.
Some people don't give a damn about perks, but this could be a start.
I know all this has been proposed before, but I hope HiTech will finally -actually- do something about it.
Meanwhile, "vee vill masterr to fly defensevly"

Oh, and we actually know how to capture bases, been in some interesting missions while in Rookland, but as I said in a thread in the General Forum, it's easy participating in missions when you have the numbers (at that time we were "only" outnumbered by 10)
Rookland will prevail!
