I agree with airmess, I really haven't had any problems with this on Bish radio.  One thing I did notice is that when you .squelch someone, they get voice squelched too.  Very useful for the ones who think everyone needs a play by play of how close their troops are to the maproom.

Seems some people haven't heard AH's finest :D

How 'bout this...

Use the film editor and send in short clips of offensive language to HTC. If there's enough of them maybe there will be changes made. Warnings from HTC staff could then be justified and possibly other actions taken.

For those that think hearing foul language is a stupid whine...would you be comfortable letting your mother hear some of the crap in AHV? Restrictiong people to using headphones shouldn't be the only solution, my mum agrees :D

Why should I have to go to the expense and trouble to get head phones just because some dipstick can't control his / her mouth?!?!?!?!?

Area and field coms should be an option not a mandatory thing. If a field defense is needed tune the darn radio. This should have been an option only feature in the game.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Haven't had a problem with the Range channel, other than some people talking too much.  I think we should be able to squelch it though -- for the sensitive types.   :)

If you are having a problem with an individual, record it.  AH Films now record all voice comms too.  Then e-mail it to HTC.

1. I agree with the bad language lobby but I have to admit I've let it slip on occasions but hopefully never too bad. Usually gets me at least a verbal slap from the wife if she's in the room :)

2. It seems there is a .vsquelch command so that helps.

3. Its there, its like crap junk mail (ok if I say crap?), and headphones/boom mike cost from £4 ( $6) here in the UK and they carry a big bonus.... the immersion is much much higher.

4. There are probably better things for HT to do with his programming time although that idea of setting a channel to 0 to turn it off sounds ok - but of course Range radio doesn't have a radio channel nor, I think, a disable command.

Bottom line? I put on the cheapo headset and try to watch my mouth.

PS yes, I know I get gabby :)

Haven’t had any problems with bad language just the occasional General.

I still can’t believe we’re not going to get the option to turn this off completely.  It doesn’t seem like it would be that difficult to code but what do I know about it.

If we can’t turn it off, can we get a permanent squelch list?

That's a band aid...not a solution.

Why have to give up a nice suround sound system just because of some peoples immaturity?

Who wants to listen to those idiots anyway.   They range from annoying to downright offensive with no real plus to any of em.  If I wanted to hear em I would invite em into the squad.   With RW you could give out the number or not.   Mostly people.... did not.    Now we are one big happy family??

I haven't had any problem with profanity on area channel yet. Matter of fact, all the interaction on area channel thus far has been positive except for one case where some kid kept blabbing about what plane he liked to fly. I just suggested on voice comms that he quit yapping so much and he quit, no big deal.
