Dmax, this is NOT a calibration problem; I'm familiar with that stuff. I'm not 100% sure if its entirely the spring not being as stiff as it used to be, or if the potentiometers in the base (assuming thats how it works) have gone downhill, but after being pretty damned good to start with, the joystick went very sloppy very quickly.
The weird thing is the comparison with the Logitech Wingman sticks Ive had. When they went sloppy, the worst thing was the yaw control, it was as if your plane was balanced on a knife-edge and could only fly banked one way or the other, unless you were on autopilot. Moving the joystick would do nothing for a bit, then suddenly a little more movement would flip the plane to banking the other way, with nothing in between.
With this Cyborg, its not quite so dramatic, and it's almost as if the amount of control is both decreased and lagging. Whereas with a sloppy Wingman there wasnt much you coud do with it, with teh Cyborg, I can anticipate what is going to happen and so get the result I want - there isnt a catastrophic switch from one side to the other- but its still a bit of a balncing act.
Will look at simhq later, thanks!
